The El Cortez is Old Vegas at its best. You may even be lucky enough to meet its longtime former owner, Jackie Gaughan, in the poker room.
Good video poker pay tables. Great tables. Roulette with 25 cents and $1 minimum, where else are you going to find that? $3 blackjack and $5 pai gow poker. A nice old style sportsbook (alas the sportsbook is now run by Stations). And head up the stairs to find an old school barber shop (I bet your barber shop doesn't have Playboy in its magazine selections). And the place is small enough that you never wait long for a cocktail waitress as they regularly make the rounds.
