Located just off the Las Vegas Strip, the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino offers great buffets and comfortable rooms with a Brazilian carnival theme. The property first opened in 1990 and was the first all-suite resort in the Las Vegas area.

The all-suite hotel at the Rio has 2,563 rooms, all of which offer floor-to-ceiling windows, sofa, 32″ TV with Pay-Per-View movies, mini bar, in-room safe, iron/board and hairdryer. Nightly rates range from $40 up to $259 a night (not including resort fee). The hotel has a spa and salon and Voodoo beach, a pool complex which includes four different pool areas, cascading waterfalls, three whirlpools, poolside spa treatments and two bars (Cruzan Island Bar and VooDoo Beach Bar) where you can enjoy specialty cocktails made by flair bartenders.

The casino at the Rio has a masquerade-theme and offers over 1,200 gaming machines as well as many table games including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Let it Ride, Pai Gow Poker, Texas Hold ‘Em Bonus Poker, Mississippi Stud and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em. The casino, which is the home of the World Series of Poker, also has a poker room and a race and sports book.

The Rio offers a very diverse array of casual dining options, including the Royal India Bistro, KJ Dim Sum & Seafood, the All-American Bar and Grille, Pho Da Nang Vietnamese Kitchen, Guy Fieri’s El Burro Borracho, the Wall Restaurant and E-Sports Lounge and Hash House A Go-Go. For something more upscale there is also Voodoo Steakhouse.
Perhaps the most popular restaurant at the Rio is its Carnival World Buffet where you can discover and enjoy flavors from across the globe – 300 selections to be exact. Diners can enjoy pizza to omelets, sushi, teppanyaki, fresh carved meats and Asian barbecue, plus the buffet features live-action cooking right before your eyes, ensuring freshness and top quality.

There is a Champagne Brunch on Staurday and Sunday, priced at $29.99. Dinner is $34.99 daily. Be sure to use the American Casino Guide coupon for $5 off for up to four guests at this buffet.
For seafood lovers all dinners can be upgraded, for an additional fee, to get access to over 70 fresh seafood items, including endless oysters, crab legs and shrimp. There are also extra stations with various fish dishes and other hard-to-find seafood offerings.
If you are looking for some entertainment, the Rio has many shows including magicians Penn & Teller, The Comedy Cellar and Chippendales, the all male revue. There are also several bars and lounges such as the Voodoo rooftop nightclub.
The Rio also recently opened its Voodoo Zipline, which sends guests up to 400 feet in the air, offering great views of the Las Vegas Strip. The zipline costs $27.50 to ride and is open daily from 11am-11pm. If heights are not your thing, you can also check out KISS Mini Golf which is open from 10am to midnight daily and costs $11.95 for 18 holes.

This must be an old review because the Seafood buffet is no longer there.I just got back from eating Dinner there and it was a shell of what it used to be.The Rio buffet used to be one of the best-now its one of the worse.
