We drove 300 miles for this? My husband had a machine freeze up twice. First time wait was about 15 minutes, second time (on a different machine) the wait was over a half an hour. Would NOT recommend this place! We will not go back ever! On the upside, we headed north and hit a Four Winds casino and the casino at Gun Lake. Did well at both of these, had a blast.
Situated about 10 miles in Indiana from the Indiana/Michigan border off I-94, it's
easy to get to for MI folks such as I. The BLU Tower rooms are gorgeous & worth
the bucks if not comped. The buffet is good, but it's relatively a small one. And on
Mondays in April, 2013 if you PAY (cash or credit) for a buffet, you get $10 free play.
VP selection is not their best for a Boyd property as I find not that many machines
on the floor. On the plus side, Four Winds & Firekeepers are an hour away or less.
Food is good, and the 2/1 wednesdays are totally worth the trip. I agree when they say the slots are VERY VERY tight, but they are getting new ones in there all the time. Jackpots ARE possible though - I saw someone win almost 2k the other day on a 2 cent machine. The table games - it does not matter where you are, they are all the same odds. It's not like they can stack or count the cards against you. That's why I didn't give them a rating, and I can't speak for the hotel either, as I've never stayed there. The staff is nice, but overall I think Four Winds is SOOOOO much better.
I used to be a regular player of the slots with a sapphire card but when the slots went so tight you couldn't win anything on quarters, dollars or 2cent machines I didn't go back for 6 months and they DEMOTED my card down to ruby with $5.00 in free slots play. hahahahahaha What a joke this casino is!
DOn't waste your time or money on the tightest slots of any casino I have been in. Try and get a free soda from all the girls walking around with EMPTY trays in their hand asking if you want something!
