A portion of each machine’s revenue is shared with the state lottery commission, hence the name “Video Lottery Terminals.”

The VLT’s (video lottery terminals) in Rhode Island offer at least six different games: slots, keno, blackjack, and three versions of poker (deuces wild, jacks or better, and joker poker).

Both Rhode Island casinos also offer the following table games: Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Three Card Poker, Let It Ride Poker and Spanish 21.

The Elms, Newport

This mansion is owned by Philadelphia coal magnate Edward J. Berwind and it is made to look like the mid-18th century Chateau d’Asniere which is located close to Paris. The highlight of the mansion is the recently restored Classical Revival gardens where you will find a sunken garden, fountains, and marble pavilions.
