the only draw back for me is the smoke in the casino, yes they do hbave a none smoking area but for food and getting to the parking you have to travel the smoky road. buffet is good, restaurants are good as well. food is priced at good rate for what you get. the slots are great, nice mixture of old and new and may have to wait a few but you can get the machine you want normally.

Dealers very good, except for two. Some pit bosses will comp you. Better blackjack rules than Viejas, but not Barona. The poker room is the best of the three. Excellent restaurants and sports bar. If you have a complaint or even a question good luck. I was referred to the courtesy desk, to the vice president of marketing,to the assistant to the general manager to the vice president of customers relations back to the courtesy desk. Each one told me I was a valued customer, gee thanks.

The Casino has been remodeled in the last several months, New Buffet with even better food and now located in the Non Smoking section of the Casino along with the card room and off track betting.
The Bingo area has also been remodeled but all the table games are in the smoking section
Also added is a sports bar and restaraunt for those who desire non buffet style fare, and they open up at 8 Am for Breakfast. The Non Buffet eateries offer free soft drink beverages and coffee with your meals

If you are Military or a Vet, Sycuan offers you a Freedoom Players Card that elevates you to Platinum Card Status and 20% at the various Food venues plus a discount for Concerts and Giftshop
Must bring current Military or retired military ID or a copy of your DD-214 seperation papers.

Since I live less than 40 minutes away, I have no use for the Hotel nor do I play the table games but most are packed when the place is busy, especially on weekend

New games are introduced more frequently now, but a great many of the slots are TIGHT, Especially some of the WMS machines with poor paylines and skimpy bonus winnings for the minimum of .50 -.60 cents bets.

Still, it's a fun place to play and there is always someone about offering beverages for free

During the week promotions include a Senior Day, A Slot Points Multiplyer Day, and On Fridays a chance to win extra Free play $$ by just swiping your Players card

Well sycuan is one of those casinos that if you don´t want to drive so far and you have nothing better to do.....it is ok...the slots machine are tight in my opinion and almost always there are people in the good ones.....even during the week sometimes.

It used to be a nice casino at the beginning. Actually, my first time in Sycuan i won $50 in just a couple of minutes in a 1-cent machine with 20 lines 1 bet........today? ....never...

I don´t know why but I feel the same thing in some casinos in San Diego....they start right a couple of years.....they finished tighter...or at least right now....

The people that I see winning in Sycuan are the people that are playing $1 dollar machines....(3 dollars per pull max bet)......well, that´s what i have seen in my last few times....

So, it's a nice Casino to be playing at for a little while, go to eat something at the snack/coffee shop, walk around, go for a free drink, play a little bit more....walk around etc...just to have a little fun.....

I remember that they don´t sell alcohol or beer...are they now?

by the way, the "day soup" on the coffee shop is excellent....excellent...an is not expensive at all....like 2 or 3 $....something like that....
