Amazing, how so many people during my last visit this past Friday; were commenting and complaining how tight the slot machines are at this place now, simply and out of the blue, people started a conversation while playing slots and even at the parking lot, all saying similar things: This place is not what it used to be, at least in the past it used to pay a little but now, they don't pay at all, the frustration in people was so obvious, I wonder if the casino owners and upper management realize how bad this will be for their business, like myself, I am sure most people get tired of losing in every visit and quite honestly, if anyone dreams of winning big or winning at all at this place, I think they're delusional and are up for a rude awakening, my best advice is if you can't help it, at least only take a very limited amount of money and leave your ATM card at home, the odds are absolutely against players and overwhelmingly in favor of the casino, of course it is a business and either way most people will lose at this and any other casino but the apparent tightening of the slot machines is way too obvious, their greed will cause them to lose many, many customers, too bad, this truly used to be a better casino, at least used to be better than all in the area but now it's just one of many so makes no difference which casino you go to in the San Diego area, more than likely you'll lose your cash if you decide to go there to gamble you hard earned bucks. For me, my friends and relatives who like gambling, the drive all the way from Bakersfield is not worth it, way too long a drive for a guaranteed loss of our money.
Nice buffet, food court and other options to eat there, the staff is very friendly and helpful but the slots are terrible, they take all your money in no time and it feels there is no returns at all so I'll probably go back there but not to gamble as they made sure I understood the reality of the odds: overwhelmingly against you when playing slots.
This casino actually has a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful but the slot machines are awfully tight, the friendly atmosphere and the really good food make this place very appealing until you sit at a slot machine and realize the price to pay for the nice atmosphere and whatever other nice things about this place, I usually drive (or used to) four and a half hours on the weekends to this place I guess wrongfully hoping I would eventually win at least something after spending so much money in their slots but that obviously will NOT happen as it's lose lose with their tight machines, there's simply no chance of winning, I have many friends and relatives that love going to casinos and can afford to go to them and I had recommended this place to them but definitely; I have to tell them now I am having second thoughts about it after losing every time, really, other than the food and the nice atmosphere, I think it's not worth the long drive all the way from Bakersfield for me and my friends and relatives, I guess we'll try some of the other casinos in the area since the ones we have near are just as bad or worse, I hope we'll eventually find the right place to spend our money at but with better chances.
Well, after my last review, we decided to give this casino de benefit of the doubt so we went there 3 more times, this last time was the decisive one to determine whether or not I continue to go there, definitely no complaints about their service, their food, their hotel and players club however, the slot machines definitely offer no chance at all and it all was confirmed by myself and a group of friends and relatives I was trying to motivate and entice to go to this place, every time we went there; we all lost our money in a very short time, sometimes I used my diamond players card and some times not, after the bad experiences my friends and relatives had; losing lots of money in the slots, they don't want to ever go back and frankly, neither do I, they felt so deceived by losing lots of money so fast, they didn't even want to get a player's card and if they had, there is no doubt they would have soon become diamond members since they can afford it but they; like me and everyone else, expect some level of fairness in the gambling otherwise; there is no fun in losing so much money so fast like it happened to all of us in the group and we all showed up at different times just in case the hour of the day had anything to do with it but the outcome was the same every time and in every case: Lose lose. It is a very long drive from Bakersfield to this place to lose all the time, definitely not worth it and the group of friends and relatives I convinced to go there feel deceived so I guess we will now try the two casinos in and near Temecula, at least they are one hour closer to us.
It appears this casino is trying to recoup the millions they spent in their air filtration system they recently installed, slot machines are awfully tight, simply nobody wins, it is becoming obvious people are realizing the fact that this casino no longer offers a chance no matter how much you spend gambling there, the casino doesn't seem to care much about losing customers so their greed will eventually have an impact on their business which they have made into taking as much money from patrons as possible and there will be a time when they will have to meet the same faith as Santa Ysabel, this is unfortunate but they will eventually go bankrupt as they are scaring people away from their casino, too bad, it used to be a better choice but no longer is, good luck on their future bankruptcy, I am just so sorry about the many employees that will be affected but Barona is a ripoff.
