Did we mention the casino accommodates standup comedy too? We’ll just mention ONE name: Jerry Seinfeld. The rooms at the WinStar World Casino and Resort are unparalleled too. With seductive names like the Casino Tower King and the Casino Tower Queen, you can expect nothing but luxury. The Pool Tower King and Queen provide as much comfort as the Global Event Center provides entertainment.

I make the 1 hour trip north from fort worth tx often. Winstar is not as great as you make it out to be. They may have a lot of machines, but variety lacks and I notice some of older themed machines (that pay well, or they only have a few of) disappear forever. A lot of asian themes and a room with 60+ lightning reels…and like most places the penny machines cost $8+ for a max bet…I wont play the table games there as they have a 50 cent rake on every hand….might as well bet $1000 all at once than give them 50 cent a hand win or lose…and this is on all table games. Their concert venue is mostly armless , cheap, fold up chairs crammed in edge to edge, between the natural size of most Texans, their huge hats, and drunk girlfriends, it makes seeing a show in the first 3/4 of the room uncomfortable. the rear is terraced so you can see over the hats, and they have padded seats in the back. It is an indian casino with no free booze ($6 beer) it is a little cheaper at toby kieth’s i love this bar, but you cant enter or leave the eateries with anything. El Fenix offers great drinks compared to the 4 casino bars….their buffet stopped serving crab legs and has gone downhill in the last few years so even though they send us free buffet perks, we rarely use them anymore…the hotel started charging resort fees (even on comp stays) though it doesnt have much to qualify the fee except for a couple of pools that parents fill early with their spawn while they go gamble for the day….biggest isn’t always best.
As an alternative the same indians own Chokataw casino in Durant OK which is about the same distance north from Dallas and an extra 30-45 min from Ft Worth….It has A newer music venue with tiered and padded seating throughout, more of a resort style pool, a bowling alley, laser tag, movie theater, food court as well as gillys and a variety of other places to eat. lots of slots with variety and we liked their hotel rooms better as well (no walking 1/4 mile to get to casino)…..all this said they are both indian casinos with poor payouts right across the border in the middle of nowhere….unless you are nearby and bored, you are much better saving your money for vegas.
