Paying machines that take out and leave the ones that dont hit they only care about how much more you will give them. ]]> Sun, 17 Jan 2016 22:31:32 +0000 <![CDATA[St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake: Player benefits lowered]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/wisconsin/st-croix-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2506946 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/wisconsin/st-croix-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2506946 Used to come for Nifty fifty seniors promo twice a month. They trimmed the participation back for this promo to slot players only, taking any opportunity for senior table games players to win. They have also cut back the value on their monthly mailers, reducing the amount of free play they award as well as cutting the value of the food coupon in half from $10 to $5. I like the table games - fun and staffed by friendly people. Video poker offers very poor pay tables therefore poor payback. I usually only play the Turtle Bucks they give me because I usually play table games. Been coming here regularly for about 18 months and finally got my 2nd '4 of a kind'. Last fall I was in Vegas for a week and got 9 of them. Now that's Video Poker. ]]> Mon, 28 Apr 2014 05:11:36 +0000 <![CDATA[St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake: Turtle Lake Casino]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/wisconsin/st-croix-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2504956 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/wisconsin/st-croix-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2504956 Pretty much eats up your money at the slots...little reward. Did see a $1. poker guy win $4000 with 10,J,Q,K,A of clubs! Thru "TURCO" tours we had a great time with Turkey dinner, program, and transportation. ]]> Thu, 08 Dec 2011 15:35:43 +0000 <![CDATA[St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake: Video Poker downer]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/wisconsin/st-croix-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2501860 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/wisconsin/st-croix-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2501860 Very disappointing for video poker players, machines are tight and there are very, very few. No poker in high-roller's area (which is the size of a postage stamp). Lots of video slots, lots of variety there. I do better in Vegas than I've ever done at this casino. Machines are much tighter now than they used to be. I don't expect to win, but there are not enough other incentives on the players card to make me play and lose. And, your money doesn't last at this casino. I'd rather spend $200 more and fly to Las Vegas than drive 60 minutes to go to this casino. They do have a Turtle Express bus that is free to ride and they give you $5 when you get off the bus. It's a nice outing for a day, but I have reduced my bankroll at this casino, as I never win, can't play long, and am not sure what value their players club has at all. Food is very good, especially the buffet. ]]> Mon, 22 Sep 2008 11:10:25 +0000 <![CDATA[St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake: Don Byle]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/wisconsin/st-croix-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/249 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/wisconsin/st-croix-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/249 We found the accomodations and casino beyond our expectations. The food at the casino restaurants is excellent. Would highly recommend.

Gaming tables are fair and friendly. I don't play slots, so no opinion. ]]>
