bohzo (Hello)

It is best to remember that Native American casinos are for entertainment purposes only, most people do not go to get rich, they go to be entertained much like a trip, ball game or movie.

Native American casinos pay for programs for the elderly, education, police protection, fire protection, taxes both state and federal. When someone buys a lottery ticket and loses, I have never read about a review or how bad the lottery sucks.

Please go to Native casinos remembering what services they offer to the Native American community, state and federal. Only play what you can afford to play. I have gone many times and never think that I will leave rich. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose.

The points you make about gambling are common sense, but either you work for that place or you are missing the point. Compared to other places, Potawatomi is a ripoff ! Their machines are tighter than any other casino - they have been rated one of the worst places in the U.S. Jus because their money goes to a good cause does not mean it is o k for them to rip people off. If I am goijng to spend my money, I want to be entertained, not ripped off. They are the only casino in the Milwaukee area, so they already have a "monopoly" on the money taken in by gambling, but they are so dirty that they have one of the lowest rates of return in the country, even though they have no competition in the area. Also take into account the fact that our crooked Ex-Gov. Doyle set up a deal with them so they give a pathetically low amount of their intake to the state in the form of taxes. Only a fool goes into a casino thinking they will strike it rich, but realistically, only a fool goes into Potawatomi thinking that they will win anything.

That may be true of some Native American casinos, like Oneida. But this casino pays each tribal member 75,000.00+ to do as they please. And you can imagine what they do with that kind of money. Bail money is expensive these days!
