Hotel was very nice and clean as was the casino. Four of us were there for two days and two nights and none of us won a thing. This casino has the tightest slots of any casino we have ever been to, which I might add have been quite a few in many different states. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time, if you want to get rid of your money, just throw it in the trash. Everyone we talked to felt the same. WILL NEVER COME BACK. Go to Oneida where you may win something or any other casino for that matter.

Slots:
I took a walk around the entire casino and noticed the following:
65% of the machines 1 cent or a few 2 or 5 cent mixed in (intentions are lower payouts)
20% of the machines 25 cent but far and few in between (payout were to bad)
NOTE: The video poker machines had a full house 8 and flush 5 (not great) some even set
at 7, 5 ?? (that sucks!)
15% of the machine were $1 (There is a limited selection of "high roller" machine in a separate room. The slots are probably set to the mid to lower part of 80% payout cause we didn't get hardly any bounses to talk about. I talked to at least 30 different people (or couples) and only ran into 1 couple saying they won anything to talk about?? My lady and I both lost and not much to talk about at all.

Table Games:
Didn't play so "no rating"

Customer Service:
I talked to 3 people one was a janitor and was very nice and kind. One was the main host for the Long House restaurant and one was their chef for the restaurant ( I'll get into this for the food & drink category.)

Players Clubs:
Didn't use

Gaming Atmosphere:
The casino is well ventilated and is kept up pretty good clean wise. I did notice you have to search around for garbage cans to through drink cups away though? Also, the speaker system is hard to hear in most parts of the casino for announcements.

Amenities or Hotel:
Didn't use

Food & Drink:
This is were the review is poor at best 1*. Ok, to start I was interested in the crab legs. I went to get some and they were the driest I've ever had (not even worth eatting.) So when the waiter came around and asked us how the meal was I told her about it. The couple behind us and the two, to the side of us said the same thing. So I tried other foods like prime rib which was good and the tenderloine whch was to tough? I do notice that the food selection across the board from deserts to vegetables to main course items are at least 50% less than it was 5 - 7 months ago for whatever reason? So I went back to look at crab legs again to see if the quality got better 15min later, nope same. So I snacked on a few other items then came back just to look at saw the chef. So I asked him why the crab legs seem to dry? All he did was look at me and give no feedback at all, totally disrespectful! So on check out to pay at the front counter the main host asked us how everything was. I told him what is stated above. It's like he already just knew to take 20% off the bill as if he already talked to the boss about people having issues there or something. Because it was like he has done it before because there was no negotiation between us, he just did it. I'm sad to say I really looked forward to eatting here but as of recent I agree with other comments on this site. This restaurant has taken a turn for the worse for whatever reason?

Final conclusion:
This casino isn't worth coming to, to eat or to gamble at. The hotel or activities might but much better but we didn't do any of this but I know they just added another level to the hotel so people must enjoy their stay. I didn't think I would say this, but it's going to be a long time before we come back here. We'll start going to the small Ho-chunk casino in Wittenberg instead. I hope this helps the people here on americancasinoguide.com to make better choices on this casino.

I just wanted to post my thoughts as well on Northstar. My wife and I go there about once a month, we enjoy ourselves and feel like we have more of a chance doing well there as opposed to Oneida, and Menominee (which we drive past from Appleton).

I would have to say the only downfall of this new casino is the fans that they put in the floor make my wife uncomfortable, it is a smart design however for the people that do not enjoy all of the smoke - but don't really think they are needed.

As far as them not having a hotel on site, it sounds like once the economy improves that they are going to continue on with the construction project. For now though my wife and I stay at the Konkopot lodge that is a mile or so down the street, the service that we get there is very impressive and there is also a great atmosphere provided by everyone staying there, we have also heard that the White pines lodge is a pretty nice place, but with the package that the konkopot lodge gives for gambling we will always stay there.

We play mostly slots so unsure how the table is, the people playing craps are always sounding pretty happy! The slots allow us to keep playing, and can generally play all night with $100.00 which is good because it is basically entertainment with the outside chance that you can hit it big, and that is the way we approach this casino.

It seems like a lot of people don't feel that they send out comps, then you are not taking advantage of everything that they have to offer. We get mail offers for cash, and also free dinners or discounted dinners which is pretty nice. Also on their website you can play a game called shoot for the stars and win prizes ranging from a logo prize, 500 points on your players card(first time is 1000) 5 or 10 dollars, golf, and hotel stays at local lodges you are really selling yourself short if you don't take advantage of this. I often get the points, and have accumulated 5,000 points just for shoot for the stars.....

Hope this helps!
