This casino has really gone down hill over the years. I visit the casino almost on a weekly basis and stay overnight always seeing new staff at the players club. Staff are very rude and instead of security patrolling the casino they are worried about you bringing sweet tea in from chick-fil-a. "No drinks from the outside allowed I was told from the Security Supervisor Devin" as I was sitting there minding my own business patronizing a slot machine. All they give you are small Dixie cups to drink from. The bar waitress Tina is extremely rude and igorant. I attended a recent stealth and diamond meeting to voice my concerns to upper management and spoke personally to Kim Florence and never heard ANY response from ANY party I spoke with there. Very little free play and prize drawings as compared to past years and the food has definitely gone down hill. Slots are tight unless your max. betting and who can afford to do that weekly. This place is entertainment only if you call it that!!!
Went here in September and had a blast. Wolf Run slots was great, I won $200 and my wife won $300. Played 18 nickels in a new slot machine and won $250. Couldn't wait to go back.
Well, we went back in October with $700 and lasted about 4 and 1/2 hours. Did not hit anything.
I think the casino is really neat looking with the waterfall and all. I can't judge this too well yet, but on the October visit it was the worst casino I was ever inside.
Atlantic City is still 7 hours away, so we have to go to these sub-level West Virginia and PA casinos. Probably should just save up and go to AC a couple times a year.
I live near this gaming center, it is nice but payouts on the machines seem to be streaky and all come at one time. Keep your eye on the cashout lines to see when thay are hitting.
Ninety percent of the machines use the printed ticket payout system. I seem to lose more often than I win here but food at the buffet is great and comps are pretty good.
Table gaming was just passed in WV and for all racetracks that have machines. Table gaming is supposed to be up and running by Labor Day 2007.
I would call first if you are planning to visit before October 2007 to see if table games are up and running yet if that is your interest.
