Just came back from spending 3 days here. All in all it was a fine trip. Didn't play the slots, just poker...which is the reason for my rating. Left with $200 more than I came with, so it was a good trip for us. It's not Vegas or Tunica, but still is a nice place to have some fun.
The prices are high, but the food is good. A few minor changes could really make this place boom. Dog racing was great. The place is WAY understaffed, and anyone can see how scared the employees are to make a mistake (NO-ONE smiles).
In casual conversation, I found out the dealers are making $5.15/hr + tips. I imagine the turnover is horrible....not to mention the dealers complain out loud about their lack of breaks, who's late to work, etc.
Sometimes you had to wait 15-20 minutes for someone to come by to take a drink order. Although, sodas are free if you are playing. People were winning, and I was there to have fun. I will be back.
