We have been playing there since they first opened and had the blowup casino out front. We had hit numerous jackpots over the years usually in the $1,200 to $1,500 range. On occasion we have hit two in one visit. When the casino started installing the new machines that payed out with tickets you could see everyone trying to avoid them since you couldn't win on them.

My wife was playing a one cent machine and hit for $100 and an attendant had to come over and hand pay since the machine payed in coin. She played a few minutes longer and hit for $100 again. The attendant made the hand pay again. She continued to play and a woman manager came over and interrupted her play, opened the machine and reset it. She could no longer win on that machine.

I spoke with one of the managers after filing a survey they sent me. My comments seemed to actually get some attention. I mentioned the way the payouts had gone and how horrible it was there now and they would lose their customers. His reply was, we are the only game in town. I did tell him that would change and we no longer go there.

We used to play there once or twice a month, we live two hours away, and now we just go back to AC and are looking at the places Pa has to offer.

We liked the Sundance Grill in the back. Not a 5-star restaurant, but better than the buffet. We had horrible treatment a couple of times in the buffet. The food wasn't that good there when they first opened and is a little better but not worth the price.

We stayed at the motel one night, but no sense in going back. You can't win, so no sense staying longer for an average room and food.

Most of the people working there were pleasant but overheard two floor attendants talking. One, apparently new, asked the other how often they make hand payouts. The answer was sometimes you go nights without any. NOT GOOD!!!!

I visit this Casino sometimes just to have some fun. However, I have almost never walked away a winner. The slots payoffs are terrible. I noticed that when the casino just opened you heard about some large payoffs, now you don't hear anything.

I won a few times in the beginning, however, I have walked away a loser almost every time since then. I have played $1.00 or $2.00 for an hour without getting more than $5.00 back or without getting a bonus. This doesn't even allow you to stay for a while and have some fun. I only live 15 minutes away, however, I now refuse to continue to keep putting money into this casino's machines the odds of winning are super low.

Also, the service is terrible. I had one of my money vouchers get stuck in one of the machines, and had to wait for 45 minutes to find an attendant to help me. It's like they ignore their customers. The people that take drink orders are hardly ever seen, and when they are they take forever to return to you with your drinks. It is totally unbelievable how bad the service is in this casino.

I've been going to CT for over 10 years. Up until 2 or 3 years ago it was fun and I was fairly lucky. Since they built the hotel and started giving away cars, the players are paying for it! All you do is give them your money. A word to them, loosen up or people will go elsewhere. (I know I have)

Unfortunately I have been a regular at Charlestown for the past 3 years. The first year I did alright, but with all the giveaways with the cars I have seen a decline in the payouts with the slots.

When you go you want to stay more than a couple of hours. You would think that 25 cent machines would give a little back. The Spam machine is fun, but just silly because you're not going to win and the nickel machines are the biggest scams ever.? If I do see a wiinner it's the 5 dollar machines.

Food is a little better than average - could be better. My biggest complaint is the smoke!!!! It never used to bother me, but for some reason at this casino it is horrendous! And I have to say that some of the patrons there are unbelievably rude.

Staff is nice, bartenders are real good and friendly. I am glad I am a black card holder though - I almost feel guilty about cutting in the front of the line-- but then I don't when a machine kicks my butt. They should hire more people.

Used to be a place to have fun and maybe win a few dollars, not anymore. They only care about the big time gamblers and are rude to the average players.

Stop the car giveaways and let the machines pay off once in awhile. The food is overpriced and not any good and the smoking and air circulation is really unhealthy.

If you want to have fun visit any of the delaware casinos, come on Maryland open up, we will come and forget Charlestown.
