No customer service!! Highly suspect!! I am a regular player at 6 casinos! Charlestwon, WV Statistaclly the beat the odds by such a degree of differentiation that the results have to be false as a result of tampering!! I have been there where I lost 11 in a row, won 1, then lost 11 more in a row! I have lost 14 to 22 in a row more than one time. I have been there with $200 on a $15 dollar table and lost straight out no wins until my chips were gone! Rarely if ever are you ahead. Always behind and playing against a 20! If you have 21 or BJ, you may get a push...
Unfortunately, I traveled to fare to turn around and go home. I spent thousands throughout the day and night....terrible payouts on the 5,$10 slots....I was told by one of the people there by the name of Brian that the casino had the worst payouts of all the casinos on the east coast! What an endorsement by an employee!!!!!!
Charlestown has turned its focus for the past several years to tables, higher table limits, only because they continue to act like they are the only game in town! And to boot, they have
given up on slots, driving slots customers away.
Hey Charlestown, have you forgotten the basic rule for casinos, slots are the biggest money makers. You have gone from 5000 slots to 3400 slots, and gained the reputation of having the tightest slots anywhere.
This is good news for MD, as MD Live opens, 30,000 people standing in line, just to get in.
I have been going to Charlestown for years, never had to stand in line to get in!
In fact, recently, it feels like you are the only one there playing slots.
People have gotten the message, loud and clear!
Without a doubt one of the lowest payout casinos I've played at. I have also noticed that slot payouts have gotten worse over the last three months and freeplay offers are less. Not worth the trip anymore. Wait for the new Maryland casinos or go to Delaware or PA.
If you look at overall ratings, this is the real deal. Charlestown has big expenses for over expansion the last several years. First
they had to pay for tables, and now they face real competition in MD. Although they continue to advertise nearly 5000 HOT slots,
if you read coments on Tripadvisor, or American Casino Guide Reviews, the general public has a totally different view! The truth.
Do you think maybe the inevitable is coming for Charlestown.
Soon gamblers will have other options. Customers from MD, DC and VA will no longer need to travel 70+ miles to visit a casino.
For most, less than 30 miles. With gas prices predicted to be above 5.00+ a gallon by Memorial day, this is just another reason to
go to Arundel Mills and not Charlestown. The downfall of Charlestown is a case of mismanagement and greed. My prediction is that
5 years from now, Charlestown will consist of a hotel in the middle of nowhere, about to close. Sheetz will still be going strong.
It's all about management, and their motives. Providing a service to customers, as opposed to screwing customers!
