I moved to Poulsbo, Wa. back in October and started going there on a regular basis for the last 6 or 7 months usually on my way home from work. After this weekend I'm DONE. They completely SKIN YOU ALIVE there. In the last 6 months I've played there on average about 4 days per week and each month so say 15 times per month - NOT ONCE! was I EVER truly UP on the SLOTS. And believe me I started to think it was just a bad run of luck but then I went to Point No Point and I suddenly remembered how slots are supposed to work. Usually they give SOME slight chance to step away with some profit in your pocket but not at CLEARWATER. I also spent 6 1/2 years in Reno so I'm no novice to the many ways of the Casinos but I gotta tell ya maybe the Laws in Washington are just entirely different. I don't know WHAT THE HECK is going on there. I know they're expanding the Hotel which I suppose should be a big Red Stop sign. WOW do these folks take the cake. I'm never going back. Frankly it's BORING - It's very BORING and simply NOT FUN because the way the slots work you actually never really get a chance at playing a bonus and so you're pretty much just sitting there watching your cash dwindle. Oh sure sometimes it will pay you even money on your bet or 50% of it but most of the time it's just a strait loss. You bet a buck it takes a buck. You bet two bucks it takes two bucks. You bet twenty cents it gives you 5 cents back and on and on. Then it has the gaul to make it seem like you ALMOST got a chance at the bonus round but you don't. Nope. Not ever. Not even two crisp one hundred dollar bills later. It's SO INSULTING and AGGRAVATING and seriously BORING. Ridiculous. I do feel sorry for the people in the community though because these gluttonous monsters that run Clearwater are just going to suck the life out of them. I mean they make companies like Monsanto seem generous. The customer service was okay but then it's rather lost after you're insulted or accosted by the slot machines. I mean seriously it feels like someone is sticking you there. It's NOT cool!
I just hated that place! Seriously! What an absolute RIP OFF! The slots will suck every penny out of you and you will NEVER even get one chance to go above your principal or for that matter reach a bonus round! It's SHOCKING and you will get MAJOR HEADACHE! That was my experience for 3 solid days! The same with my boyfriend. We were pissed. That's why I'm writing this. It's ridiculous! You cant even get a bonus round! I was nearly bleeding from the eyes in utter shock like... is this even legal? Why do they do this? I mean I know WHY -- they do it so they can take all of your money, but I thought that they were supposed to offer some opportunity to win. Not there! NO! NOPE! NEVER a chance. You know what? It's BORING... At the end of the day it's BORING and HORRIFYING. Pushing buttons and watching your money disappear - Absolutely ridiculous. They're relentless there. How can they get away with that? It makes me never want to ever set foot in another casino in my life. Save yourself some heartache. If you live nearby then take the time to go to Point No Point. They may not have the larger space but at least they don't steal you blind. Clearwater is horrendous!
This is a medium sized casino with approximately 1,000 plus machines. The problem is there is little variety. The casino appears large but the machines are repeated all over the place. We have been in small casinos with better variety. You rarely heard anyone winning and when they did get a bonus it did not pay much. The buffet was good but average with nothing unusual. It is a clean casino with clean restrooms which is a plus. Staff is friendly. Smoking is allow and it is not too bad. All in all, if you are in the area, I would stop, maybe you will be lucky.
Lots of great slots and the hotel is wonderful! We always have fun and its so easy to get to via the Bainbridge and Kingston ferrys....and i love that I can earn a reimbursement of the ferry cost just by playing the slots!
We enjoy our trips to Clearwater. It is close to home and everyone is always very pleasant, especially the Keno staff. The slots could pay better. The hotel is great except it really needs some room upgrades such as carpeting, paint and wallpaper. The food venues are very nice and the food is good, however, prices seem a little high. Traveling to the east side is not worth it when we have the very nice, clean Clearwater Casino 35 minutes away.
