November Gambling Podcast – The American Casino Guide has a monthly podcast hosted by the book’s author, Steve Bourie, who talks about topics of interest to travelers who like to visit casinos and during the course of each show he interviews a special guest from the world of casino travel or gambling.

Cannery: In honor of Veterans Day, The Galaxy Theatres at Cannery Casino & Hotel will host a special open-to-the-public, FREE screening of “Who Will Stand,” an award winning documentary film created by local Las Vegas filmmakers featuring Clint Holmes performing the title song. The FREE screenings will take place at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11 at the Galaxy Theatres.  Attendees are invited to provide a donation as the price of admission with proceeds going to HELP USA LAS VEGAS, a Las Vegas-based organization that finds housing for homeless veterans.

Golden Gate: November 30 Days of Thanks -Giveaway: Players earn a drawing ticket for every 100 points earned. Drawings daily at 6 pm.  Grand prize drawing November 30 at 9 pm.

El Cortez: Commemorates Veteran’s Day by serving FREE slices of Marie Callender’s pumpkin pie to guests on Wednesday, Nov. 11. The FREE pumpkin pie will be served game side so Club Cortez members can enjoy while they play slots and table games.  The complimentary pie will be served from noon to 6 p.m.

PT’s Pubs/Sierra Gold Taverns: Golden Gaming has introduced a “$10 for 10 points” program for all new members of its Golden Rewards players club at PT’s and Sierra Gold taverns. New members receive $10 in FREE play for the first 10 points earned while playing video poker, slots, blackjack or keno. Individuals may sign up for the Golden Rewards players club by visiting any PT’s or Sierra Gold tavern location in Southern Nevada.

Jerry’s Nugget: All the action of the 2009 Breeders’ Cup World Championships can be found in Las Vegas at Jerry’s Nugget Casino on Saturday, November 7 when thoroughbred racing’s international celebration convenes in Santa Anita, CA. All the race and sports action will be available on Jerry’s Nugget’s five giant screen TV’s and 20 plasma screens. The Breeders’ Cup Handicapping Contest at Jerry’s Nugget is only $10 to enter, with up to three entries, with a guaranteed payout of $500 cash. Pahrump Nugget: $35,000 Cash and Chevy Giveaway. Throughout November, the Pahrump Nugget will be giving away cash at daily drawings from Monday, Nov. 2 to Saturday, Nov. 28. The drawings will be held at 12:15, 2:15, 4:15, 6:15 and 8:15 p.m. daily with two guaranteed $50 winners at each drawing. Imperial Palace: The King’s Ransom Museum, a one-of-a-kind exhibit of Elvis Presley artifacts and priceless personal treasures opened October 21. This multi-million dollar collection is on display for the first time ever in Las Vegas, the very city where The King set up court and reigned supreme in the 1970’s. The King’s Ransom Museum provides an exciting opportunity for fans to get a rare glimpse into the life and career of one of the world’s greatest entertainers, Elvis Presley. The King’s Ransom Museum is located in the Imperial Palace’s Royal Halls, on the third floor of the casino. The exhibit is open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and admission is $10. Hard Rock: “Redeem Your Dream Promotion,” Through December 6. Players earn “gift points” as well as their gaming points and comps. They can then use their gift points to redeem items from a gift catalog. Players are eligible to earn gift points on both slots and tables. Players will fill out product order sheets and return to the Rockstar Club. Orders will be submitted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Player’s must be enrolled into the promotion to participate.
