June Gambling Podcast Visiting the casinos of Biloxi and The Mississippi Gulf Coast – A video podcast hosted on Youtube! The American Casino Guide has a monthly podcast hosted by the book’s author, Steve Bourie, who talks about topics of interest to travelers who like to visit casinos and during the course of each show he interviews a special guest from the world of casino travel or gambling.

For the June edition, Steve takes a video tour of the casinos of the Gulf Coast in Biloxi and Gulfport, Mississippi. He lets viewers see what each casino looks like, plus he gives details on what the area offers in the way of other attractions.

To see the podcast, go to:

Silverton: 5x points on slots and 2x points on video poker plus $5 brunch buffets on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30.

Golden Gate: Beginning June 1, the Golden Gate has restructured the 1906 Club and is offering an unheard of 1% back on slot play in the form of free slot play.  Starting June 1st, points will be worth 5 times as much as before and slot players will receive 5x times as much free play. The formula for slots is as follows: $1.00 slot coin in = 1 point. 100 points = $1.00 free play.  This equates to a 1% rebate for slot play, something we haven’t seen in Las Vegas (or perhaps anywhere else in the country) for many, many years. For video poker players, the rebate has increased 2 ½ times the previous rate, which is good but obviously not as good as the slot rebate.  It does, however, move them considerably up the ladder in video poker rebates to among the best in the country. The video poker formula is $4.00 video poker coin in = 1 point and 100 points = $1.00 free play, equaling a .25% rebate.  About the highest we’ve seen in recent years (without any bonus multipliers) is .33%.  There were standard clubs offering as much as .50 in years past but nothing like that these days. An extra nice bonus feature is that old points are included in this new club formula. Players visiting after June 1st will be able to redeem their existing points at the new redemption rate of 100 points = $1.00.

South Point: Two FREE breakfast, lunch or dinner buffets for all active and retired military personnel on Monday, May 30.  Must present Military ID to cashier.

El Cortez: FREE White Castle sliders will be served gameside while playing slots and table games to all actively playing guests on Monday, May 30, from noon to 6 pm.

Cosmopolitan: Through June 15: New member’s sign-up promotion: Receive up to $100 in free play if you lose $100 in one day when you join the Identity Club.  Bring your player’s card from any other casino and they will match your status.

Mirage: In conjunction with The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil 5th Anniversary, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is pulling up to The Mirage for FREE public tours and recording sessions June 6 – 11, from 3 pm to 8 pm daily.  Guests will be able to try out the latest in recording and video technology including products from Avid, Epiphone, Apple and more.  Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to bring the studio experience home by entering to win an Epiphone guitar signed by Yoko Ono.
