I get out of my car and 3 (people)ask for a cigarette, I walk to the door and at least 5 (people)ask for money, I walk in, no security at the door. This is not uncommon according to my friends. Anyhow I continue to walk through the casino only to see (people) sleeping on the machines. I sit down at a machine OMG the (people)are kicking and banging the hell out of the machines. NO SECURITY. I saw the woman behind me pour booze from a bottle she had in her pocket book, into the mens coffee cups, WOW!!!again NO SECURITY. I couldn't help to notice that most of the (people)were wearing flip flops and had their feet up on the machines, DISGUSTING!!!.I've read several reviews of twin river casino and all the horror stories, but I would have never believed it if I didn't see it for myself. There's no way that I could stay in an environment like that. I wouldn't go back to twin river casino if they were giving money away. It's the dirtiest, filthiest place I've ever seen. And this is strictly because of LAXED SECURITY and PISS-POOR MANAGEMENT. However, if you are compelled to go there, make sure that your immune shots are up to date. Good luck. ]]> Sat, 14 Oct 2017 20:07:01 +0000 <![CDATA[Bally's Twin River Lincoln: Dissapointments ]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2508869 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2508869 Come to this casino,2to 3 times a week, playing 25cent machines as well as 2 and 1 cent, spend a lot of money here, the slot play is ridculous, shamen on them, not getting gifts or buffet anymore, I am blowing more money than ever before and getting nothing for it, if it don't change I will not frequent Twin River anymore, friend feel the same, what gives??? The payouts suck, big time, Came here before it transformed to a full Casino, the payouts were great spending less money, I realize they had to pay for the new casino and now I guess the patrons are paying for the new hotel, unfair, better watch out for the competion when these new casinos open in Maa. and Boston. I hope they do, because I basically like coming to the River, its just so dissappointing, they could do better, thank youDissa , ]]> Tue, 29 Aug 2017 14:10:20 +0000 <![CDATA[Bally's Twin River Lincoln: Poor management ]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2508796 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2508796
I went to twin river, used a ATM machine, punched in $1200.00, I didn't get the money, but was charged the $1200.00 plus a $5.00 fee.nobody WHATSOEVER at twin river would help me in any way, shape, or form. It took me three months to get my money back, and that's only because chanel 12 news got it for me. There is no security WHATSOEVER in twin river to protect you, and the management are the most rude and ignorant people you ever want to encounter. Because there is no security WHATSOEVER, there is underage drinking and gambling,WHICH THEY HAVE BEEN SUED FOR IN THE PAST.People are allowed to bring alcohol right through the front door with no problem whatsoever. I personally have seen drug deals, right in the middle of the casino in broad daylight. This place is not a normal casino. It's a circus and a crime magnet. My advice to anybody who goes to twin river casino and has any problem whatsoever,CALL THE STATE POLICE AND OR CHANEL 12 IMEDEITLY,it's the only help you will get.

Twin river is the absolute down fall of Rhode Island. The only people that go there are the ones that got thrown out of foxwoods. They encourage under age drinking, underage gambling, drug use, prostitution etc. There's a saying among the local community, WANNA GET DRUNK GO TO TWIN RIVER, NEED DRUGS GO TO TWIN RIVER, NEED MONEY TO GAMBLE, ROB SOMEONE AT TWIN RIVER. There is no security WHATSOEVER At twin river. From the time you pull into the lot, till the time you leave, your life is in danger. And of course the criminals know there's no security. Twin river is the single biggest mistake the voters ever made for the state of Rhode Island.

You have to put on a gas mask to get to the back of the 1st level (smoking) to make your way upstairs to the nonsmoking area. Very bad. The smell makes its way upstairs to the hallways where the restaurants are. Stench. They need to spend on a new ventilation system. God knows they must have $ to do it. Slots don't pay out. Workers are nice but hoarse from breathing in the pollution. Spoke to a waitress about the hazards of working there. Hope it gets fixed. I would never go back. ]]> Wed, 06 Apr 2016 21:29:55 +0000 <![CDATA[Bally's Twin River Lincoln: TAX INTAKE CENTER]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2507413 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2507413 Ok lets start with the casino has to pay .67 cents of every dollar it takes in to the state of Rhode island. Then they have to pay their own bills. All before they pay out a dime to anyone. I have been at black jack tables when the lower betters were asked to leave so someone else could play higher amounts. customer service is non existent in off hours. The players club is about 10% of most casinos. The second floor is not that bad it's non smoking but pretty small compared to the main floor. The main floor is short of disgusting. The machines are covered in trash and cigarette butts, People routinely use the floor for their ashes and for those of use who do not smoke the smell in the carpet is booze and smoke. oh yah be prepared to pay premium drink prices. good luck ]]> Thu, 12 Mar 2015 22:16:26 +0000 <![CDATA[Bally's Twin River Lincoln: I Have Never Been More Disrespected in a Casino!]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2506912 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2506912 First, let me start off by saying that I usually do not write reviews; I signed up for many websites just so I could share this miserable experience. I am what casinos would call a high roller. I am a Soar cardholder at Mohegan Sun and have a comparable rank at Foxwoods. I do not mind having a nice relaxing time dropping $2000+ at blackjack knowing that I will at least be treated with respect by the dealers, pits, and other members of the staff. I do not require any entitlement, as I feel everyone is deserving of equal treatment in an environment where most are seeking entertainment. I also do not look the part of "high roller"; I am in my late 20s, look like he can pass for 21, and usually wear my unassuming blue jeans and wool pea coat. I also do not like to be bothered and lack a phone by choice (I am one in a million), so I use a tablet PC to communicate via text instead of a phone, which I carry in a green handbag no larger than a woman's purse.. I was checking out the high limit blackjack tables at 7:30 pm on 3/25/2014 when a security guard named RON who ran over to me and said, and I quote, "Kid, the hell is in the bag!?!?!" I understood that he was trying to protect the safety of the casino, but how disrespectful can you be? I replied, "I will show you, but don't you dare use that tone with me." Apparently, that was too much for his puny ego, as he EJECTED me for this. No apology. In fact, he and the door guard (Frank) were laughing at me as I walked back to my car. I wish I could say there were more to the story, but nope. I got thrown out for being a weird-looking "kid" with a weird green handbag. RON even made sure to demean me when I mentioned that it was no different than a purse, suggesting I was "different"" for carrying one. I intended to go to Twin River, potentially drop the $5000 I came with, and call it a night. Instead, I am sitting in my room at Mohegan posting this review to every website just to get a point across; they fail at the ONE aspect a casino must succeed at, make the customer feel WANTED. Ron gave me a night I will not soon forget, and i will make it my mission to spread it around Mohegan, Foxwoods, ATL City, and any internet site accepting this review. ]]> Sun, 30 Mar 2014 05:02:08 +0000 <![CDATA[Bally's Twin River Lincoln: Twin River is New and Improved!]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2506815 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2506815 I have been visiting this location since it was named Lincoln Greyhound Park and the dogs were still running (currently posted information under “Special Features” claiming live dog racing is years out of date). The entire facility was rebuilt and expanded, opening as Twin River in 2007 and classified as a “slot parlor” due to the lack of table games. I am providing some historical context because some criticisms posted here were warranted at the time written, but the place has changed. While having a marvelous architecture (designed by the same folks that did Mohegan Sun) the original ventilating system was awful. A few minutes in the place left your clothing smelling like an ash tray. As part of introducing table games last year, the ventilating system was upgraded and the atmosphere is much better. If you sit at the Blackstone Bar, where they sell cigars, you just might smell some cigar smoke. A large number of the service staff at Twin River has worked there since the place was Lincoln Greyhound Park. They are true local Rhode Islanders and will be warm and friendly if you treat them with a little respect. Twin River has gone through some painful management transitions, including a bankruptcy. Two years ago, a lot of the promotional money was being siphoned off by a crooked manager. These things are behind Twin River now and the addition of table games has profoundly changed the place. The dealers are, in general, talent that migrated from Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun when those casinos let people go. I have found them to be competent and friendly. Perhaps a little more showmanship would be nice. Security is hired to do, well, what security does. Everyone in a security role has many years of law enforcement experience elsewhere, so you can guess the mindset. Although the security staff is not as tightly wound as when table games first opened, I would agree they make no bones about letting you know they are in charge and a pleasant experience for you, the paying customer, is not at the top of their agenda. Because Twin River is state owned and operated, they cannot provide free drinks to players. They do serve players drinks discounted about 50%. My only beef with the table games is the high minimums. You will never find a blackjack game for less than $15 even if you show up at 4 a.m. A host told me they might have lower limits at that time, but nooooo! Craps never goes below $10 and baccarat starts at $25. If you want to play lower limits, go to Mohegan Sun. The slot returns are no worse than Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, somewhere around 90%, but in the past half year we have gotten a lot of free play and incentives that have drawn us back to Twin River time and again. Lack of an on-premises hotel is a big negative for me. Fred & Steve’s is a great restaurant but the hours of operation are limited and the prices high. You won’t starve; the Food Court has lots of reasonably priced good food. Wicked Good has pub food if that’s what you crave. For entertainment there is a Catch a Rising Star comedy club that sometimes has a good act. Sometimes. A better bet is the big-name acts booked in the arena and the local groups that play for free at the Lighthouse Bar. I have been primarily going to Mohegan Sun and sometimes Foxwoods over the past few years before rediscovering Twin River. It’s like going back to high school. If you have never been to Twin River, or your last visits there weren’t what you wanted, I would recommend you give the place another try. (If you can get VIP lounge access the food is spectacular, influenced by Johnson & Wales culinary arts. I wish they would expand the very limited hours of operation.) ]]> Thu, 06 Feb 2014 04:15:01 +0000 <![CDATA[Bally's Twin River Lincoln: They dont like lucky people]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2506741 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/rhode-island/ballys-twin-river-lincoln.html/discussions/2506741 went in and won 4k playing craps then they took me to a back room and told me i cheated and banned me for life. The way they treat their table game players is very unprofessional. I overheard the floor manager on 10/12/13 in the AM, spoke to security about a player losing, and saying it was "Perfect" perhaps she should've been more discreet about it, but never have I ever heard a staff being so unprofessional, and honestly, their payouts for slots are like super low, you play $100 dollars you'll win $5 dollars max. If you want a nice atmosphere to smoke drink and gamble, go to Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun, Atlantic City or Vegas. The floor manager will also stand there and look in disgust if you are winning. I actually walked away with $1,500 in winnings but I am a skilled counter, but they do try their best to intimidate players along the way. They send their security guards to stand behind every table game. Again perhaps not the best place to bring your money. ]]> Sat, 12 Oct 2013 21:50:31 +0000
