I understand that the casinos are in business to make money but, they need to payout more than 89% in order to keep people coming back. The state gaming control board requires they payout at a minimum of 85% and the Meadows is just 3% higher than that!!....come on, Indian casinos out west pay better that that. Yes, when they first opened they were paying out between 92 and 93%, and I understand that they are not going to pay that now because they sucked people in, but don't tell me the reason it has dropped is because of table games and the gaming atmosphere you provide.

An example of this greed is the new gold and platinum players club. The old club had a nice bar you could sit at and had game consoles (keno, poker, etc.) in it, NOW, the new players club bar does not have any chairs to sit at, games to play, and it doesn't even offer draft beer (GREAT BAR HUH). I am a gold member but, I don't think I will continue to qualify for it because there is no point. You go there and spend between 300 and 400 dollars twice a week and they give you 10 dollars in free play-woopdey freakin doo. I don't care that the casino gives away cars and toasters-how about giving away MONEY- it's a novel idea I know.... but it seems to work for other casinos. I have even heard from casino employees that their pay has suffered because since the payouts have gone down so has their tips.

Yes, the casino is clean and the location is nice, but I don't go to a casino to admire the pictures on the wall. All I ask is that if people are going to spend their hard earned money there, maybe give a little bit back once in a while. Let someone walk in with 300 bucks and stay longer than 75 minutes.

I suggest that if you like to gamble, hold off and save for weekend trips to Atlantic City and Vegas..just make sure you go to casinos that are not owned by the Cannery Casino Company since they are the ones that own the Meadows.

Did you go to the Meadows Casino today, Sunday, June 6th for the Summer Swipe & Win Promotion, only to be told you weren’t eligible?

On the email invite and also on the huge ad at the Casino, it clearly states “Earn 250 Same Day Points To Get Your Swipe”

After earning 250 points, you swipe your card and find that you are ineligible. The Player’s Club reps then tell players “Well, because it is a 10 X points day, you must actually earn 2,500, or 250 base points.” There is a huge difference here.

But that is not what they have been promoting.

So if you’re like us and went to play today for your chance at a “Swipe & Win”, only to have a “Bait & Switch” occur, we encourage you to contact the General Manager, Sean Sullivan, at 724-503-1234 and also file a dispute and/or complaint with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board: www.pgcb.state.pa.us/?p=113

Ok so when you gamble, you lose some and win some, but when you go there a few times each month, you would expect to at least win a little sometimes. Unfortunately the last 9 times I was there I lost at least 200-300 each time. It wasn't even due to playing crazy, I don't go into the high limit rooms, nor was I there long each and every time playing any winnings away, usually 2-3 hours and that includes eating and waiting for drinks. Last 4 times it was horrible, I did nothing but lose, never even hit at all, lost it all within 30 mins. I won't spend more than 300, but I haven't even been able to hit the slots to a point where I'm ever ahead. I do max bet, since with a lot of the games it's the only way to win the jackpot, but now I noticed most of the new games are a lot more expensive to max bet, it seemed the average was 6.00 a spin with some even more up to 9. So frustrating when you are playing that much per spin and each time you are winning like 50 cents or nothing, so hard to get the features too, like the free games. What's even more sad is I've been going there since the Casino opened and the highest jackpot I ever won was 1,000. I know plenty of others with the same experience too. As for the free drinks, forget it, it takes about 20 mins to get a drink from a waitress, that's if you even see one. Most don't announce they are taking orders for drinks and if you do catch a waitress, by the time it gets to you, you've been stuck at a crappy machine and lost 5x what the drink would cost at the bar. The wait at the bar is not much better, even getting a drink at the bar takes quite a bit of time. Overall the food is not that great, the only place worth eating at is the Hamburger place, the burgers are really good. The buffet isn't bad, but it's expensive for how little is offered. I did give the gaming atmosphere 3 stars and would have given it more if it was cleaner, going to the self serve counter especially, it's so messy, but I do like the new layout and most of the people are friendly. The location is good too, and I've never felt like it wasn't a safe environment, I'm definitely comfortable enough to go by myself even at night, but if that's all it's good for, I'd rather stay home instead with friends and family and save a ton of money. I won't be going back, I can't justify losing another dollar there, and I hear and have read that this is a current trend for PA Casinos, I'll try my luck in West Virginia. For the rest of you that do go, be careful you don't lose more than you anticipated, if you ever get ahead even by 20, cash out and consider yourself a winner. Good luck, you will need it.

We used to like the Meadows Casino over Rivers Casino, but on February 20th,I was playing a penney slot machine when it ate my ticket that I inserted into the machine, I pressed the service button, and to my surprise nobody came. It took 45 minutes for a machine technician to show up. When he did, I said to him, it's about time you show up, it's only been 45 minutes. The service attendant was so rude and ignorant, he came back at me with a comment, "how are we supposed to know, you need to notify us", I told him I hit the service button, the service light was on.He proceeded to unjam the machine and found my crumpled up ticket and threw it at me saying "here's your ticket". Proceeded to close the machine, lock it and left. I was furious, no body talks or treats me like that. I found the floor manager and explained to him what happened, and he knew who I was talking about. Apparently, they have had other complaints about this person. He said that someone would speak with him! The floor manager apologized and said that he would give me $30 on my player card. Nope it never showed up. You guessed it. The employees are rude and ignorant and the management is, Oh we will take care of it, but to no avail. The Meadows Casino has gone way south on the service and the atmosphere that they used to have. No more, I will prefer to go to places that appreciate the business. These are the kind of things that will ruin your business if not taken care of, and as I see it, you will never see it coming until it is to late. People will just stop coming. One bad apple can ruin the whole bushel.
