Well, what can I say? This had to be one of the worst casinos I have ever been to, when it comes to customer service, slot payouts, etc. Before I drove from Philadelphia, I called Customer Service to verify my comp balances. Not only did I not have my slot play on my card as promised, I had to go not once, but twice to players club desk to have it added to my card. Normally, it is already on the card when it is inserted in the machine. But at this backward casino, I was told by one of the dark suits that work there I had to download it from the kiosk. That of course did not work, where everything came up $0.00 dollars. I wasted a great deal of time getting my free players comp downloaded to my card. This process was a tremendous inconvenience. Then when I finally had access to my players comp, the machines were lifeless. Not one bonus round or payout was received. I ended up hopping from machine to machine, all with the same result. I ended up spending nearly $300 of my own money with absolutely nothing in return. The bonuses that did come up paid out an anemic amount. They were pathetic. Also, I noticed the comp dollars earned was only $0.07 per hour. That is the lowest I have ever seen anywhere.
The location is excellent, which is why I go, but I have lost every time I go. I would swear they are rigged. The Blackjack and roulette is a joke. I love the machines they have, BUT I always lose, I mean ALWAYS!!! It's a crime. I want to feel like it's fair but I can't believe they aren't rigged.
The casino is nice and the food is good too, but the waitresses are horrible from my experience anyway. The men waiters were ok though, a little nicer. The females need some lessons on how to treat paying patrons, especially when we spend a lot of money.
The people that work there need to understand human skills and how to be friendly. I go to many casinos and this is the worst. The looks of it is fine but the "people skills" are lacking big time. I go there a few times a month. I was NEVER greeted with a "hello". God forbid they call me by name. Vegas knows the rules of "life" and how to treat people much better.
Anyway, I really like the location, but the rest blows. They have a great opportunity to be great but they need the better payouts and nicer people! I look forward to meeting the people they hire when they get actual tables there. I hope the people they hire are from elsewhere or learn how to be friendly and genuine.
If you like feeding the slots with no chance at winning then Mount Airy is the place for you.
I don't know how they get away with it. I have been there at least 40 times and the best I did was - 200
Also, I feel like im in prison with a guard walking by every few minutes. lol You never hear a "hello" from the staff.
I live only 12 miles away from mount airy. It is a nice casino overall. The rooms are very nice. I happen to be a gold card member approaching onyx status.
One thing that is a complete turnoff and I really don't understand why this is not brought up in their so-called board meetings, is having to pay (if you are a basic member) or having to sign (if you have a platinum, gold or onyx card) for a WARM 6 OZ. BOTTLE OF MOUNT AIRY LABEL WATER. This is such a turn-off to have to sign a slip of paper every time you ask for water.
Here I'm down $2,000 for the night, trying to see if I can hit for a couple hundred so I can go home, and I have to stop and sign this slip of paper for the water, after I have already showed them my gold card. We are not talking Figi water here folks.
The ones who just have the basic card, have to pay 1 $ for a WARM 6 oz. (not even 8 oz.) bottle of faucet water. Oh they do offer water in a plastic cup for free, but who knows how long It's been sitting on the counter just like their burnt coffee sitting in the pots. BRING YOUR OWN WATER FOLKS.
Hard to believe that this casino will be in existence much longer with the terrible customer service and unfriendly attitude of player's club personnel. I will not return.
