We (my wife and myself) travel from McKinney TX to Winstar a few times a month and simply love it. Do we win?...no not really but we have a great time and enjoy watching each other play. Last month I surprised my wife by getting a room, it was on the top floor and it was free. While we don't gamble thousand's like others we do usually drop a few hundred a piece with each visit. However, with a free room we feel we break even and simply enjoy the company. We don't expect to win big...we just like to gamble a little and enjoy each other. Winstars staff are always wonderful and have always been helpful.

I guess losing all your money is entertainment. Sorry, but, the last time I went to Winstar, I put a 20 dollar bill in a machine and it only registered 15 dollars. I've also heard that they are required by law to give back 20% of their profits in payouts, but, instead of doing that, they are just paying the fines. Guess they'll just keep finding Texans to go there and lose their money in the name of entertainment and a hotel room. Keep doing that and you might have to live in a hotel. I've known plenty of people who've lost their homes to gambling.

I lived in Vegas for 15 years and have unfortunately had to move to the dallas area due to family issues. I am an avid keno player and thats all I play. In Vegas you can find penny, nickel, dime, quarter and dollar multi-card keno machines. At the Winstar casino in Oklahoma which is billed as the worlds biggest casino, they only have one bank of multi-card keno machines around the Rome bar area. Although, I have hit a few jackpots on these machines, you literally have to have thousands of dollars in your pocket to play them. I have hit 7 spots on a single screen, but, it's rare as hell. I am told that the machines at winstar are class II machines since it's an indian casino. That would explain why you can sit on a machine and play one screen for 12 hours, never change your numbers, and not hit an 8 out of 10. I have pretty well given up on playing there anymore because if the only thing they offer is quarter video keno machines and no penny, or nickel, and if they are class II machines which are essentially tied together and someone sitting beside you can throw off the whole thing, then, they are a loser to begin with. Those of you who think it's entertainment to drive 50 or more miles to a stinky, smelly cigarette smoke filled facade full of drunks and idiots and lose your money to a bunch of thieves, either are using the interest on the millions you have in the bank, or you have no other way to fruitfully spend your time and money. I say to you, give your money to someone who needs it and you will feel much better than throwing it away on a computerized machine that is fixed to make you lose. I will save my money and fly to Vegas a couple times a year. They don't use class II machines and you can have a lot more fun and win every time playing pennies or nickels. Indian Casinos are the biggest rip off in the world. Stay away.

Next time you get the urge to drive 60 miles to Winstar and "lose a few hundred apiece", just call me and give me the money. I could use it for something much more fulfilling than blowing it through a computerized thief at an indian casino. texans really are stupid.
