My wife and I have been patrons of Riverwind for the past 8 years. In that time we have seen this place gradually transform from a friendly and enjoyable entertainment atmosphere to a regular unenjoyable experience with more security, unfriendly staff and a plethora of shady characters. Our visits were mainly to play slots...which in the old days had entertainment value even if we lost. These days the machines have zero entertainment value. As a casino...not a resort...entertainment for a majority of patrons is the slots. In its current state...only a fool would put money in any of these machines. We have switched our slot entertainment to Biloxi. In particular the Beau Rivage. We regularly receive all inclusive flight, 3 day stay and free play for $50 all in. Leaves us with plenty of funds to enjoy a true resort experience. So long Riverwind!
I am a frequent looser It would be nice if you could enjoy playing a little bit before they take all your money but i guess the big shots there are bucking fore a pay raise .I think they use your players cards aginst you . You can be using your cards and be loosing you pull it out you will start winning a bit because they don't want you to leave They don't comp any rooms no matter how much money you spend I went to Winstar last year they comped us two weekend nights in a nice room My wife and I both did good on the electronic games at Winstar . Riverwind punishes the locals because they think you have no choice but to go there .it takes me a hour an a half to go to Winstar .as I did two weekends ago . And I felt a lot more appreciated there .And grand casino is 30 min away
First let me say that if I go to the casino with money that I need (to pay bills or rent) then I never win. I live in Norman so Riverwind is a short drive for me. The last few times that I have gone there with extra money (money I won from a scratch off lottery ticket) I have won money. I was that on new years eve and my favorite machin is the spin to win. I sat at the same machine for 45 minutes and I got the Spin the Wheel bonus 12 times and won 1 minor jackpot and left with a little more than $400 extra. My friend that went with me left with over a $1000 extra.
Gamblers stay away. I am a seasoned VP player. I would say I play 99% to 100% accuracy on any VP game and I'm letting you know know that the VP is not right. They are messing with the chips on these machines. Stay away, save your money for a regulated casino. You've been warned by a local!!!
