Been coming here since they opened and really like the layout. The only direct competitor of Downstream as far as size and style. Parking is good, don't seem to have to walk a long way to get in and out regardless of when I visit. Lot's of games with tons of flash. Regular promo's and really good comp's for returning customer base. It didn't seem like I had to spend a fortune to make VIP status and really enjoy the perks it provides. Gaming always seems good here, up and down alot. Plenty of excitement and I tend to feel like my money was well spent. Band can be a bit loud on weekends so gaming around the bar usually thins out but the floor is big enough that you can easily get to a place comfortable for your ears. Food is good and adult drinks are generous. They have coffee and soft drink self-serves as well as waitresses on the floor so you never go thirsty. I will warn that if you get free room comps in the mail, book as far in advance as you can or you won't get one. Rooms are always full and I'll assume that it won't be much better after they open the new hotel tower.
Of the casino/hotels in NE OK Indigo Sky is the best value especially if Groupon is used. Hotel has clean nice rooms free of smoke smell. Quality of room compares to Downstream. Good variety of slots. Several ticket redemption machines throughout casino. Free non alcoholic drinks, even self serve. Reasonable alcoholic drinks. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Customer service has always been good. We visit about six times a year and normally pay for the trip and then some. Free play and stays each week with players club and extra on birthday month.
Well... The nation is building a whole new casino and i heard its set to open in September of this year. However currently, the casino is your basic casino. Everything is limited and probably just more set to change over, however right now the machines are giving good gameplay, but sit on a machine too long it will stop. People wonder if the machines are set.. i am one of them.
However the casino is clean and your machine attendees are around alot so theres no wait time in cashing out or fixing a machine. They do need to work on cleaning the machines and the trash. The food is your basic diner style, nothing elegant as of yet at least until the new casino i can assume. Parking is good, but a long walk on its busy days and the little buggies take their time to get you.
I did not have a good experience going into Bordertown since i started going in 1999, when it was small. I used to only go because my cousin would pay for my Bingo Packs and the gas to drive there. Literally for 6 years, I would drive back and forth at least twice a week playing bingo and then eventually getting into slots and poker and would win very little to nothing. I am not the type of person that expects to win 1000s of dollars each visit, but i do expect to have at least some game play meaning that the machine pays me back 2 or 3 or 5 dollars to keep playing regardless as to my denomination of machine or play.
However 90% of my visits, i end up going straight to the poker room because that's where its fun and i don't mind losing my money and it's dealt on human mind and hands if i win or lose, basically i am in complete control of that situation, where as i play their freeplay or burn 5 or 10 dollars and the machine doesn't do anything and their bonuses are jokes.
I love bordertown only because of the poker rooms, table games, and somewhat of a freeplay. The slots to me anymore are just time killers when i am too early for the next tournament. Sorry to say, If they didn't have poker... trust me i'd go to Downstream to play and it's much closer to me.
Well I used to just love this casino. They offered 5 for 5 promo play at this place plus the outpost.
All the workers are super nice and they have a nice gift shop where you can get great purses and other things at a great price.
Over the last month or so they have switched to the "bally" system and it is just not as good. They don't offer the promo money at both places any more and there are a lot of machines that are still down since the change over.
Before switching the system they cut down on the days for the promo money too from every day to only Sunday through Thursday.
Plus, I think they have tightened up the machines that I play when they put new parts in them. They had all the machines opened up and replaced parts so they easily could have put the new chips in.
Anyway....I used to love to go but with the recent changes it is not as much fun. I am not the only one that feels that way either because the parking lot use to be full all the time but now it is not.
