Well... The nation is building a whole new casino and i heard its set to open in September of this year. However currently, the casino is your basic casino. Everything is limited and probably just more set to change over, however right now the machines are giving good gameplay, but sit on a machine too long it will stop. People wonder if the machines are set.. i am one of them.

However the casino is clean and your machine attendees are around alot so theres no wait time in cashing out or fixing a machine. They do need to work on cleaning the machines and the trash. The food is your basic diner style, nothing elegant as of yet at least until the new casino i can assume. Parking is good, but a long walk on its busy days and the little buggies take their time to get you.

I did not have a good experience going into Bordertown since i started going in 1999, when it was small. I used to only go because my cousin would pay for my Bingo Packs and the gas to drive there. Literally for 6 years, I would drive back and forth at least twice a week playing bingo and then eventually getting into slots and poker and would win very little to nothing. I am not the type of person that expects to win 1000s of dollars each visit, but i do expect to have at least some game play meaning that the machine pays me back 2 or 3 or 5 dollars to keep playing regardless as to my denomination of machine or play.

However 90% of my visits, i end up going straight to the poker room because that's where its fun and i don't mind losing my money and it's dealt on human mind and hands if i win or lose, basically i am in complete control of that situation, where as i play their freeplay or burn 5 or 10 dollars and the machine doesn't do anything and their bonuses are jokes.

I love bordertown only because of the poker rooms, table games, and somewhat of a freeplay. The slots to me anymore are just time killers when i am too early for the next tournament. Sorry to say, If they didn't have poker... trust me i'd go to Downstream to play and it's much closer to me.

Bordertown Casino is literally it's name. It's technically in Missouri, lying right on the border in a small town called Seneca. They offer a wide variety of games that appeal to most types of gamblers and their bankrolls, but they are lacking a lot of the newer slot machines that are available at some of the other local casinos. Their slots aren't too loose, either.

The atmosphere isn't great...The air is very stale, and seemingly not well filtered. It's typically very crowded during the evening hours, drawing in all types of people, some of which are very coarse in their behavior. Due to the over abundance of people, the casino just feels dirty although the bathrooms are usually very clean.

One of the reasons this particular casino draws in so many people is that they offer free play cash (in the form of a voucher) during the weekdays which is $5.

There is an abundance of slot technicians at this casino, so you rarely have to wait long if something goes wrong while playing. The overall service at this casino is good, except for a few employees that seem to lack common courtsy and decency.

Overall, this casino is okay. But just to add a fare warning, if you play poker you can expect to play against many of the employees that work at the casino, ranging from slot techs, to cashiers, to even the casino manager.

Bordertown used to have $1 draw happy hour through the week until 7. That went away the closer it gets to opening their new casino. I have also noticed recently that their machines are not paying nearly like they used to. I somehow tend to think they are needed money for their new casino and have tightened down the payback on their machines. I may be wrong but I dont intend to go back anymore. I will find another casino. I cant be 100% positive on the machine thing but I am 100% positive about the $1 draws until 7.

In November 2012 my wife and I stayed at the hotel for two days. First the room wasn't ready when we arrived although reservations were made in advance. Then they screwed up our room service order that evening. The next morning they AGAIN screwed up our breakfast order The next morning we left to go gamble downstairs and when we came back up late that evening we found they had never even TOUCHED our room; we still had dinner and breakfast dishes AND FOOD spoiling on our tables! We complained and they came up and cleaned the room keeping us up past midnight and then when we checked out THEY HAD OVERCHARGED MY CREDIT CARD!!!! I complained and to make amends the hotel manager gave us a complimentary stay redeemable until 12/30/14. Today I called to make a reservation and guess what even after facing the gift certificate they won't accept it! The old hotel manager isn't there and the new manager KIM ZURBAY even suggested I FORGED THE CERTIFICATE BY ADDING A PARAGRAPH AT THE END WITH THE EXPIRATION DATE! Wow, just wow! WE WILL NEVER COME VACK AND WILL BE TAKING OUR BUSINESS TO THE DOWNSTREAM (the rooms are much nicer anyway!). In fact I will never set foot in an East Shawnee Tribe casino again. Poor service is one thing but to be accused of being a thief is another!
