Good variety of games but super tight Went in for my last time. No fun when all you do is lose. No wonder the parking lot was empty. High winds. You will not get any note of my money. And I will spread the word. I played a variety of games and several were no hits at all. Your thieves
Started visiting about 3 years ago and became a regular. Parking is fairly unappealing ( narrow and long ) if you get there and it's busy you'll have a long walk or wait on the shuttle-scooter. When we started going everyone was very warm and we seemed well known by the third visit ( hostesses, security, players club ) all knew us by name. VIP seemed easily attainable and they had monthly promo's with free food and drink. The promo's are always packed and they have a very hard time getting everyone feed to the point that I don't even bother trying to eat some times. The drawing are always quick so your not there all night waiting to see if you win. About a year ago I noticed a change it the staff and at that point it seemed that the comp system changed as did the atmosphere of the staff overall. It has since seemed to get slowly better and I still go often. I've had several handpays over the years, at least enough to keep me coming back....
Came with 10 family members on Thanksgiving. Enjoyed eating the Thanksgiving dinner. Short wait, delicious Thanksgiving dinner and the price was very reasonable.
Apparently High Winds has a new general manager who has decided to change everything, and in my opinion, for the worse. The promos now are ridiculous unless you plan to spend a lot of money and the slots seem to have gotten tighter! We used to like coming to High Winds, but not anymore. Save your money for anot her casino that actually enjoys to see their customers win and enjoy playing.
My wife and I are regulars at HighWinds and our last trip over the weekend was worth commenting about. Although they've removed their blackjack tables, they've increased their machine count by a bunch. The floor is always packed and they've added two new bonusing features to their floor. One I don't know the name of but it provides the newest title releases (new new new), the second is Mystery Mania. Basically it's a 4 level progressive that pays out randomly, but must hit by a particular amount. This bonus alone is worth the trip. I saw 4 Mystery Mania's go in a single night, all of which were over 100.00. What's better is it pays directly to your machine (not to your free play) so you can cash it our right when you win it. They also do point promotions, hotseats, and "dine n play'
On that note, the Bedlam Steakhouse at HighWinds is by FAR the best restaurant in NE Oklahoma. On top of the excellent food, they do dine n play specials where you get a $5 free play if you order $5 or more in food. Not sure what the times are but I've seen it at lunch and on Friday nights.
It's a little casino, so don't expect roller coasters or a hotel, but if you're in town and want to hit the friendliest, CLEANEST, and loosest casino in Miami, be sure and try em out!
