Their comps are good if you can choose your times. My wife gets better offers than I do, because she plays keno. Casinos are stingier with video poker players like me, for good reason. But we get two free rooms a month, and free (for her), half price (for me) meals at the three fairly good restaurants. On Thursdays 5-10, you get $50 free play when you've played 100 points, and that's on top of initial free play ($5 for me, $30 for spouse). In addition, there's a hot seat drawing every half hour. A skilled player will always lose less than $50 in getting to 100 points, so I win every Thursday night, probably an average of +$30-40 for 2-3 hours play. That's not much, but more than pays for the gas driving there, and we make a night of it with the free room and ultra-cheap dining. It's nice to have a sure thing, but only if you play video poker and play it well.

<![CDATA[Grand Casino Hotel & Resort: Can't win!]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2506719 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2506719 At one time you could take 100 bucks and play all day on the slots. You might not hit a jackpot or win big, but at least could play for a couple of hours. But 100 bucks will last about 5 minutes at the Grand now. I suggest you take your money elsewhere if you are looking for an entertaining evening where 100 bucks will last longer than 5 minutes. The food is good though, but do not expect anyone to offer you any type of drinks...It's all self service......what a shame that it used to be a fun place to go but now has become the joke of the casino's in town! ]]> Mon, 09 Dec 2013 01:16:35 +0000 <![CDATA[Grand Casino Hotel & Resort: I would not go to this place]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2506491 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2506491 I would not go to this place, the Pottawatomie tribe there does not give back to Indians on the roll and it seems to be harder to get the help they need housing, medical…Just learned same guy has been in charge for many many years, I thought this was to help the tribe and the ones on the roll? What a bummer for those Indians!!! and the slots are tight ]]> Wed, 10 Jul 2013 23:04:52 +0000 <![CDATA[Grand Casino Hotel & Resort: The Grand is getting a bad reputation..... ]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2506459 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2506459 We used to frequent the Grand Casino often, but have recently stopped going. Used to take a crowd out there with us, either family or friends, but the slots have become ridiculously tight, and no one seems to have fun anymore. There is just no "draw"....I hear the same complaints from other patrons. The play twenty for ten, I thought, was decent, but this point system sucks.....no one can seem to tell you how much money you have to spend to earn a point. I really feel sorry for the clerks that have to somehow "sell" this brilliant idea. It's confusing and smells like a scam. Spending my hundred somewhere else, suggest you do the same. ]]> Wed, 19 Jun 2013 11:52:20 +0000 <![CDATA[Grand Casino Hotel & Resort: This place is NOT fun]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2506104 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2506104 When you put in $100 you would think you could play a game machine all evening, especially at the Penny Archade. This place thinks you should pay for their hotel, their staff that stands around 'looking' busy, is unfriendly and then gobbles up every dime you have on you! Stengy tiny cups you can barely put a drop of coffee or pop in and then makes you feel like you didn't do enough for them while once in awhile some wild playing high roller hits jackpots upstairs. Ever think your little game machine is filing up the high roller's machines up stairs? You'd be right. They play you for a sucker except for "Gotta Have THREE Machines at a time" when she is there. She takes out $15,000 to $20,000 or more a day when she is there. Follow her, find out how she plays and you get it instead. This is a bad joke. ]]> Thu, 08 Nov 2012 22:07:21 +0000 <![CDATA[Grand Casino Hotel & Resort: tight ]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2505813 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2505813 All The slots tight tight tight tight !!!! ]]> Wed, 25 Jul 2012 00:56:04 +0000 <![CDATA[Grand Casino Hotel & Resort: Nice looking casino, just not to play at.]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2505725 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2505725 Firelake Grand is a real nice looking casino. Lots of table games, slots, restaurants, bars, etc. With all that said, there slots really suck. Very tight, and they never seem to update them, every time I go, its the same old crap. Even the little casinos in the area (including old Firelake) update to some the newer games. Their promotions also suck, compared to others in the area. Most places will give you match play (10 for 10, or 20 for 20), they offer you 10 for spending 20. That is some of the reasons why I will not go there to play, but possibly eat, or attend a concert. ]]> Sun, 01 Jul 2012 03:26:27 +0000 <![CDATA[Grand Casino Hotel & Resort: Firelake Grand]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2505342 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2505342 An above average casino with lots of monthly promotions and events. I can't think of any particular slot machines they don't have. The buffet is okay and they often give you coupons that reduce the price by 5 dollars. They have no ante on table games Monday through Thursday and have one table with 2 dollar minimum blackjacks. But it's hard to get a seat there most of the time. ]]> Mon, 12 Mar 2012 07:55:35 +0000 <![CDATA[Grand Casino Hotel & Resort: BEST casino in OKC area]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2503978 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2503978 My husband and I have been here 6 times in the last 6 months. We used to go to riverwind for a fun night out to gamble and get away from the kids for awhile, but we have switched to Firelake Grand. The casino is the largest one around and the atmosphere is great, plenty of room and not too smokey. Employees are friendly enough. I had a slot machine tilt on me and it took about 10 minutes for a lady to come fix it; she was very apologetic and comped me $10 free play. Large selection of slots and i have actually been able to play on them for longer than 15 minutes, unlike most other casinos in OK. I don't mind losing if I can play for awhile. Actually played on a quarter machine for 3 hrs with $40. We don't spend our house payment gambling, we each take $100 and 5 out of the 6 times we've gone we have come out ahead or close to even. We don't just play the slots though, we play everything!!! Poker room is nice. . .standard. . .the guys always underestimate us girls ha! ha! Table games include craps and roulette, which are hard to come by in Oklahoma. There are the dreaded 50-cent antes, but Firelake has been having NO ANTES every other month. First time we went there were antes, Dec no antes, Jan antes, Feb none, etc. April is coming up and no antes again so we will definitely be going back. Buffet is just okay, but you get coupons for having a player's card. My husband prefers the sport's grill. You have to pay for drinks just like all casinos around here but they are good and there are usually beer specials. ($1 house in april) Free self-serve pop. We have been to most of the casinos in the OKC area and even though some are closer to us (we live in Moore) we will make the extra drive to Firelake Grand. Hope this is helpful and GOOD LUCK!!!!! ]]> Tue, 29 Mar 2011 01:26:14 +0000 <![CDATA[Grand Casino Hotel & Resort: WORST place to go now, tight as a drum on their sl]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2503974 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/oklahoma/grand-casino-hotel-and-resort.html/discussions/2503974 FOOD IS DRY and old in buffet since they stopped letting people use the player's card for a discount. No one much eats there though they send out a few discount tickets. Not enough to keep the food turned over quick enough. Same old menu week after week, gets really old, dry, tasteless. The slots are a buzzing but nothing really happens for very many people, only one or two once in awhile. Everyone else loses everything they have, machines are dead. They get new machines and expect the people to pay for them dearly. I HATE the new machines, especially the ones at the Ft Knox that use to play when nothing else did. NOW NOTHING plays. No jackpot in THREE years and before I could win them but not now ]]> Mon, 28 Mar 2011 16:10:04 +0000
