Apache Casino Hotel: Bad comp mail

I used to go to this casino quite often but have gotten a bad taste for it due their chronic late mailings for their comps. They often arrive well into the month which deprives me of using the first weekends comps. Today , June 3 I received free hotel and free play for May 30 and 31st. I've brought this to their attention several times to no avail so I now mostly go elsewhere. I used to love the friendly service and and being able to sometimes win or break even but the mailings have made me mad.

First, we noticed how friendly and helpful everyone one in both the hotel and the casino were. If you are new to table games this is the place to go. The hotel was very nice also, We drove from Texas to play craps because the minimum bet limit was so low ($2) and the odds were good. Use of cards for dice made it a little slow, but still a fun experience. According to a blackjack expert the Blackjack rules were about as favorable as it gets with a $2 bet limit as well. We did not play the slots but 95% of the casino was slots. The gaming area was very small which was fine on a Thursday evening, but I imagine it's very crowded on the weekend. We will be back!

I hardly ever got to visit this casino because I lived quite a ways away, but when I moved to Lawton I was recommended by a friend to visit the casino. Me and a few of my friend decided to visit make an occasion of it and stay in the hotel after a night out at the casino. I have to say by far the best costumer service I've experienced anywhere!!! As soon as I walked in the door that greeted me very kindly and told me good luck. The table games were the first thing that caught my eye so me and my friend started our night out at the blackjack table. I had pretty good luck and so did most of my friends, but the one thing that stood out to me was the friendliness of the dealer. One of my friends is a very inexperienced card player but the dealer did everything he could to help her understand the rules and pays of the game. In the middle of playing cards we were caught off guard by the screaming coming from the craps table, apparently someone was doing very well. My friends and I decided to join in on the excitement and to no surprise the employees at the craps table were very friendly as well. After spending some time at the craps table we decided to try our luck out on the machines. Not but 2 minutes after sitting down at a row of machine one of my girls hit her very first jackpot!!! We were soon accompanied by a floor work and a security guard who were both very nice and congratulated my friend on her winnings. Soon we were greeted by a managers who was very nice and pleasant with all of us. The floor worker left to get the jackpot while the security guy kept us company and he was soooo funny!! After we were paid the floor worker and the security guard made sure if any of us needed anything and wished us good luck. The restaurant closed before we got a chance to eat but the snack bars food was alright and most of the workers were nice. We hopped back on the machines and soon after my machine has some sort of error. The same floor worker that paid our jackpot fixed my machine and she was so nice and she explained to us what had happened and wished us good luck again. My only complaint was that the drink servers were hard to find. I asked a floor worker if they could get my a drink and they said they would have to find a server and it took about 20 minutes to arrive. After that we went to our hotel rooms and any employee we saw on the way there was really nice. Great staff, casino, and hotel!

Oklahoma's friendliest to casino to some. One in mind, a floor cashier, on srs day kept going to the same people over and over offering drinks and never asked anyone else in the area. In a period from 11am til 1pm he would go to them and talk and laugh, disturbing me. He stayed quite awhile, walking off for a couple of minutes and returning he brought them drinks over and over again. Never offering me anything or asking if I needed anything. I had to tap him on the shoulder while he was talking to get him to cash out my ticket. This was the first time he gave this people extra attention all the morning. Floor workers need to circulate and do less gossiping.

My Husband had business at Ft Sill so I went along with him on this trip. We spent a little time at the other casino up the street but was not impressed at all. We have played in Las Vegas for yrs and I have played at the only 1 casino that Texas has to offer and its not great either. The 1st time I arrived I was greeted warmly at the door and wished me good luck. I walked around to get a feeling where the .25 cent machines were. Their weren't a lot but I did well the 1st 10 min. I was there hitting for $88.00 I put that away and played from 8:30 to 2:30. I started with $100.00 and left with $105.00 so I had a good day. Very warm employees and very accommodating. I got my Players card and it turned out to be senior day so I scored $10.00 in free play plus a free breakfast.I wasn't offered anything down the street so you can bet I will be back. I was surprised at the hospitality. Thanks for making my 1st visit a very nice one!

I have played here many times and find the comps here are excellent! They send me $50 freeplay a week. I rarely walk out ahead but that's gambling for ya! The staff is very nice too!

The Ft Sill Apache Casino should be illegal because American Indian tribes are only allowed to build casinos on FORMER RESERVATION LAND. The Ft Sill Apache tribe never had a "former reservation" but were placed on Comanche, Kiowa, and Kiowa-Apache reservation land. Through shady dealing, the representatives who wanted to build this casino convinced a naive (or well paid off?) Bureau of Indian Affairs big shot to make a secret determination that "Yes", the Kiowa-APACHE designation applied to the Ft Sill Apache tribe, and that "Yes" they thus "HAD" former reservation land. This was done in secret and the Ft Sill Apache Tribe commenced building before the Kiowa-Comanche-Apache tribes, the true former reservation tribes found out about it. They were not consulted, notified of intent, or anything, just boom, they were building. The Kiowa-Apache tribe is now known as the Plains Apache Tribe and has its own casino in Anadarko OK. They are a distinct and separate Apache band that roamed the plains and then allied themselves as a sub-tribe of the Kiowas. When the Comanches agreed to let the Kiowas share reservation land in the treaty of Medicine Lodge, KS, they also agreed to take the Kiowa-Apaches also, and thus the two tribes ended up with the Comanches and are referred to as the KCA land owners, and have a KCA land-use committee of whcih the Ft Sill Apache tribe is not party. The Ft Sill Apaches arrived on the reservation in question as prisoners of war allowed to build houses until they could be dealt with and their status changed. The treaty stipulating that they could temporarily be housed on KCA land also stipulated that the land they occupied along with the land carved out of the reservation for Ft Sill would revert back to the KCA tribes upon the end of their usage. It did not grant the Ft Sill Apaches a "reservation". And thus they should not be able to claim a former reservation through that method. Coming in under the guise as "Apaches" because the Kiowa-Apaches were granted a reservation is in all intents and purposes, an illegal move by the Interior Department. Taken to court over this matter, the Ft Sill Apaches got the Interior Department to side with them on the definition of Apache and as "former reservation land owner". Furious, the KCA's could not get another determination. The management of the Ft Sill Apache tribal gaming organization made some bold moves to attempt to place gaming machines in New Mexico but were blocked by New Mexico authorities, and this almost became a physical confrontation to close off the parts of New Mexico that the State shut down. I do not place blame on the Ft Sill Apache Business Committee, who are mostly untrained in Casino Management or gaming businesses, but the outside casino management that came in and worked through the Tribe to make the bold moves they have made to date. This boldness seems to have been taken to new heights in the current operation of the casino. What started out as a small cozy place where the winnings seem to be on par with nationwide casinos has deteriorated into a place where no bells are ringing for winners, and no jackpots are seen on a regular basis by those who have been long time customers. Most customers now know each other and almost all agree that the casino's chips, which the customers witnessed being changed, were changed for worse. Extra levels of "choice" have been introduced to knock off, further, the chance of winning. The bold moves, almost out in the open, are said to increase the casinos profits because they are now planning a seven or so story Hotel.

Save your money and go to Vegas. Apache used to be the best, but since they started remodeling, paybacks odds on the slots have changed to practically nothing. They gotta pay for that new hotel somehow!

To all the others who have said, "Where is the payout" : I respect your opinions and thoughts though and thank you for posting them.. However, with gambling comes inherit risks of losing money. Having **high expectations** of winning all the time while you are in any casino -- spending thousands or just a few dollars-- is just not realistic. Gambling is exactly that.. .GAMBLING. I am sorry that you feel as though the payouts aren't what you had hoped for. Someday, we hope, all of our ships will come in. IMO, consideration should be given to the quality of the entire experience (not just the payouts).

Customer service at this little casino is a "A-B-C-D" thing (A)bove and (B)eyond the (C)all of (D)uty. All other casino gaming experiences should have this experiential aspect of hospitality. The upgraded facilities make it look like Las Vegas in Oklahoma and the entire experience has changed drastically in the last few years. The friendly service is awesome. The employees there make gaming fun...even when I'm losing my shirt! The TYPE of slots, the games, the Player's Club and all aspects are 5+ in my book. The food is excellent as the menu has expanded...and is amazing cuisine for a low price!! It keeps me there, rather than going across town to eat to come back and play more.

Have I won and lost at Casinos? Sure, you bet. Do I wish that the payouts were more... Absolutely...but I don't **expect** to win. Gambling is entertainment at best..with a hope that winnings exceed payout. But realistically, the HOUSE always wins.

This casino changed the customer gaming experience so dramatically in the last three years that the area can be proud of it -- now. Last year, this little Casino pumped $10 MILLION into the surrounding economy...as far as winners go they boast $465 million in payouts last year alone!! I've been in many places where the atmosphere is way beyond intolerable due to extreme smoke, drug dealings, ladies of the evening about the bar, etc...I would rather lose LOTS of money in this casino...than win BIG in a casino with those negative aspects lurking about.

Give it another shot folks...and being a betting sort... I bet your luck will change...if you just look at things alittle differently.

Apache Casino Hotel: Don't Waste Your Money

What does it take in Oklahoma to have a casino, that will let you play? You have to spend a lot of money here. And you still dont hit anything. The only machines you see hiting are the $5 and $10 ones. And you have to max bet on all of them. Don’t they know people are broke? And sometimes would just like to play for a little while and relax.

Don’t waste your money here at this casino. The casinos in Lawton, Oklahoma are a joke.
