Nice Casino all the latest machines great atmosphere

I visit the Horseshoe often but I am disappointed that they do not have many of the newer slots I find in Vegas and Atlantic City. For example, they do not have any of the Colossal Reel series that are very popular in Vegas. Also where are the Monopoly slots, Lord of the Rings, Tarzan, and Superteam. What about Wizard of Oz Wicked Witch of the West? I hope in the near future they start adding some of these slots or at least replacing the ones that are not being played very much.

We needed to visit a Caesars property to keep our points active and have wanted to visit the new Ohio casino since it opened. Although there is no hotel associated with this casino Caesars has a relationship with several of the local hotels and they comped our stay at the Ritz Carlton Cleveland. This hotel is not connected to the casino but you can get from the hotel to the casino w/o walking out in the elements through the shopping mall. The excess crowds have died down as we had no problem getting in or getting on a machine. I didn't play table games but everyone that I looked at had a minimum bet of at least $15, this was a Saturday night. This is a multi level casino with at least two gaming floors (if they have more we didn't visit them). They have new slots in all denominations and video poker with not so great pay scale 8/5 DDBP but this is about the same pay scale as the Las Vegas Caesars properties that we have stayed in. I did manage to hit 4OAK 2's with an Ace kicker for a cool $200 with only $40 in. We had several chilled adult beverages during our six hours of gambling mostly draft beers $3 + tip for 16 oz cup, with a long wait at the bar at times. A bit pricey in my opinion as Ohio has laws against free alcohol but you would think they would give you a break on the price. We ate at the shopping mall's food court and this is a nice option for those the are there to gamble and not fine dine. The hubby and I both gambled 6 hours, at the end of the evening he was down $120 and I was up $104 and we were even approached by a VIP casino host. My over all review is positive and will likely make a return visit even tho there are other casinos a little closer to me (was a three hour drive) as we have a relationship with the Caesars group.

Overall my initial visit to the Cleveland Horseshoe left I good impression on me. I loved that there was open spaces in between the slots machine; so you weren't constantly getting bumped into by people walking around. A good selection of newer slot machines and some decent video poker machines (nothing great). Even though I didn't leave a winner, I played for a long time and enjoyed myself. Table game minimums are a little on the high side(15 to 25), but dealers were friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks prices were on the high side ($6 beers) and service was slow. I feel they need to add self service drink areas; free coffee, tea and soda. This should improve overall drink service, especially alcohol beverage service throughout the casino. Food was nothing special, but there are excellent restaurants within walking distant from the casino. I look forward to going back to the casino again, once football season starts.

Well, I finally made it to the Horseshoe in Cleveland and I truly enjoyed it. Cannot say I won a lot but I go for fun as well as winning. Personnel were very friendly and helpful. We ate at the deli and the food was delicious. This is a brand new casino and I for one appreciate the fact that they took my favorite store from my childhood downtown and re-furbished it to its previous glory. Who can forget that beautiful Christmas windows store. Thanks to them for that. parking is a little bit of a pain but I am sure that will improve. One suggestion, find the Christmas Window supplies and put them in, we would love it. See you again when I am back in town.
