Hollywood casino in Columbus Oh is really a nice place. I very much enjoy the atmosphere, and YES the mold smell is gone!! They have uped their game in customer service, quality of food and have nice rotations of slot machines. Some table levels have dropped a bit, but not much, however there are machines to play table games at a lower min. if $1 tables and $5 tables are your thing. The players club is nicely run with weekly comps and gratitude's, and monthly specials galore for winning free slot play, cars, vacation and CASH!! Not sure what happened to change this place around, but I for one, love this place and enjoy coming for the slots and freeplay giveaways!

I was down $800 and Hollywood kicked me off the slot machine that I was playing for about 6 hours and I still had money to play with Sunday at 7 to 8a.m. They shouldn't be able to do that to people who weren't doing anything wrong.

The casino is new but small. Free parking - not like Cleveland's casino. Table games have higher limits. Casino workers were friendly and thoughtful. Free drinks at the slots were no problem. Reminds me of some of the casinos in IL - just the basics. Found a multi-hand spin poker game and did just fine. The guy next to me was complaining he was down $1500. Just remember - It's not Vegas but a nice one day get away.

I'll start off by saying this casino is very very nice as far as looks and atmosphere go. A lot of glamour and tv's, food, ect. The one problem I did have is that there were about 25 blackjack tables open and every single one had a $25-$50 minimum, three card $45 minimum, roulette $25 minimum. If you are a casual table gambler this may not be the place for you, I know most casinos offer $10 games. Slot machines are great. Pit bosses and dealers are not so friendly. The are short with you and half the time won't even swipe your players card. I asked the pit boss if he swiped my card and he just walked away, I then asked the dealer who said he didn't know in a rude manner and then ignored me. I am in my mid 20's and look young, I was harassed to show my ID every 5 minutes even though I had a hand stamp, I can understand this to an extent but I have been to dozens of other casinos and never have this problem. The staff could be way more friendly and helpful. The players club is okay, takes a lot of points to get any real perks, as far as promotions there haven't really been any so far. Like I said the casino is beautiful and definitely worth checking out, make sure you brings at least $300-$400 if you are going to play table games.
