Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada

When most people think of Las Vegas, Caesars Palace is one of the first places that comes to mind. This iconic Las Vegas Resort was one of Vegas’ first themed, luxury-style resorts and it has set the bar for the Las Vegas Strip for decades.

I was recently given the opportunity to stay at Caesars for a promotional event and I must say, it is probably my favorite hotel on the strip.

With the amount of shopping, dining, and entertainment available on-site, you can have a pretty exciting time without ever leaving your hotel. Caesars has more than 3,000 rooms broken up into six towers; Augustus, Octavius, Roman, Palace, Forum and the newly added Nobu. Basic room features include walk-in shower, in room safe, wet/dry mini-bar and LCD televisions. These rooms run from about $140 up to $220 per night.

The Forum Tower has deluxe rooms offering motorized drapes, dual rain bath showerheads, and an in-bathroom mini-LCD television. These rooms start at about $225 per night. High speed Internet is available in all rooms for a nominal fee.

Guests can spend some time at the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis. This outdoor area features six different pool areas, each providing a different experience. Relax and sunbathe at the Apollo pool or play some swim-up blackjack at the Fortuna Pool. The Qua Baths and Spas also offer a unique experience for Caesars guests. Offering signature, Roman-style services, Qua is the place to go to relax.

Caesars also offers a wide assortment of dining options. Perfect for a quick bite, Cypress Street Marketplace is a small food court that offers different types of cuisine, ranging from pizza to Chinese.

Beijing Noodle Bar No. 9 is also good for a quick bite and is rather inexpensive. They also offer many vegetarian options.

For those who want to do the full Vegas experience, the Bacchanal Buffet serves up all–you-can-eat international fare.

The Old Homestead Steakhouse is one of the many upper-tier restaurants at Caesars. This upscale, New York City-based restaurant serves up steaks along with its signature side dishes and appetizers. Caesars also recently added a Nobu restaurant in its new upscale tower which offers teppanyaki tables, a sushi bar and a large lounge area.

Perhaps one of Caesars’ biggest attractions is the Forum Shops. This indoor shopping area has over 160 shops and upscale boutiques including Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Tiffany’s.

The Forum Shops also features 13 restaurants of various types as well as two Roman-themed interactive attractions. Restaurants include The Palm Steakhouse, Sushi Roku, Carmine’s and The Cheesecake Factory.

The casino at Caesars offers classic table games such as Poker, Blackjack, Craps and Roulette as well as Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker and Pai Gow Tiles. They also offer Keno and a full Race and Sports Book.
