WARNING: DO NOT EAT AT THE BUFFET! My friend and I purchased a Summer home in the East Mountains of Sandia Park. We decided to visit the local Casinos in the area. We tried Sandia Casino and Resort and loved it. The food was great and the games were plenty, The Racetrack Casino was okay also, but we did not eat there. When we went to Route 66, they have plenty of gaming and the atmosphere was somewhat mediocre, and, we were hungry so we ate at the buffet. DON"T DO IT! We were extremely sick afterwards, My friend almost didn't make it home before he was sick, and about an hour later I was sick as can be. We both think it was the meat labeled "Filet Mignon" which tasted "fishy" to me so I only ate two bites, but my friend at the whole thing which accounts for his almost immediate reaction to it. As for the overall staff of the Casino. They are unpleasant, (accept for the waitresses and desk staff), but from security, to the managers, they are not accommodating to their guest whatsoever. In all my travels going to Casinos, this was by far the worst I have ever been to. I highly recommend, if you are in the Area of Albuquerque, go to Sandia Resort and Casino and bypass this one all together!

We stopped at Route 66 casino on our way home from Arizona in March of 2010. We have been to casinos in Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Arizona, and Mississippi. This by far was the best one out of all of them. The casino is really clean, the people are very friendly, and the gaming was outstanding. On our next trip out west we will surely stop for a couple of days.

I Love The 6. It's Big, Clean and Fun. Lots of Slots and Tables. The Buffet on Thursday and Friday Nights is Outstanding. $19.95 for all the Seafood you and Eat (Crab, Clams, Mussels, Oysters on the Half Shell, Shrimp, Tri Tip Steak, Pizza etc. Beer,Wine and Lobster Tails Available for Extra. Very Affordable compared to Red Lobster or Landry's.
Main Street Bar and Restaurant has great Lumberjack Breakfast and Filet and Lobster for dinner. Snack Bar has Really Good Nasty Nachos. 3 Bars now with Friendly and Great Bartenders, they are expanding again and adding more bars. Parking is easy, 2 valets. Hotel is clean with Huge TV in Room.
Wish they would add an RV Park or at least a dump station. Will Let us Park overnight with our RV for Free in designated RV Parking. Slots are a little slow but so is the economy. Theater is large with 2 bars and 2 sets of bathrooms. 21 to Gamble or Drink. No Booze on the Gambling Floor or Hotel, coffee and Soda Stations everywhere.
They have a Kids Quest for kids and a Video arcade for teens, My Nephews 8 and 10 love it. Security is Great and EVERYONE is FREINDLY. They have a smaller more casual casino for travelers and the Truck Drivers that do not want to ride the shuttle to the Big Casino. Not the largest or fanciest in New Mexico But our Favorite!

The slots r a waste of money.the people that work are beyond rude. The casino smell like a nursing home, plus u spend more time driving over there than. What you playing!!!!! Don't waste your time!!!!!
