Free play by spinning wheel at the kiosk was very generous for new players. Staff friendly, free beverages and passing out hot chocolate on a rainy summer cool day.

Worst employee attitude ever. Management worthless. It is obvious they do not care about decent customer service. It is a shame they just don't care.

Usually try my luck at the casino at least on a weekly basis. Some days I win some, some days lose. The food I like in the food court, the food preparers work hard and are friendly. The cashiers need to greet and smile. The club rewards would be nice to raise the weekly free play to make it worth while to travel a great distance. Overall the food and slots ratings are 3 to 4.

Can't say too much about the casino except that the slots didn't pay anything but which ones do? The gaming floor was a little crowded, but not a real problem and it was not to smokey as some casinos can be. We did not play long so cannot really comment on whether or not the slots pay very well over the long run and we did not play any table games. Enjoyed the lunch in the restaurant and the food was really tasty, and the help was courteous although slow. They only had 2 waitresses working over the lunch hour which seemed rather odd since it was busy. This is not a big or fancy place but the atmosphere is nice and friendly and we enjoyed the break in our trip. ]]> Thu, 22 Sep 2011 18:35:15 +0000 <![CDATA[Fire Rock Navajo Casino: The Best]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/new-mexico/fire-rock-casino.html/discussions/2503022 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/new-mexico/fire-rock-casino.html/discussions/2503022 This is the best casino in the west. The people, the food and, perhaps best of all - the payouts - make Fire Rock an awfully good place to gamble. I spent a weekend in Gallup and came away very satisfied. The video poker machines are new with fast, crisp buttons and big screens. You can go between $.25 to $5.00. When I won, the women with the money seemed really glad to pay me. The second night I walked in I was greeted by name! Zowie. Looking forward to going back. The $8.00 cheeseburgers are great. ]]> Tue, 05 Jan 2010 11:11:11 +0000 <![CDATA[Fire Rock Navajo Casino: Nice & New]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/new-mexico/fire-rock-casino.html/discussions/2502606 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/new-mexico/fire-rock-casino.html/discussions/2502606 Visited on Aug 10, 2009. A very nice new casino. Machines are new & up to date. Lots of machine availability on weekdays. All employees are very friendly with smiles & "glad you are here" attitude. ]]> Tue, 11 Aug 2009 16:14:41 +0000 <![CDATA[Fire Rock Navajo Casino: Surprise...nicer than I thought!]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/new-mexico/fire-rock-casino.html/discussions/2501992 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/new-mexico/fire-rock-casino.html/discussions/2501992 Visited the casino Thanksgiving day and was pleasantly surprised. Facility was fresh and modern southwestern style, nice dark woods and natural stones...pleasing to the eyes. It was definately busy and a long line to sign up for the player's club. I heard they were giving out t-shirts, caps and key chains when you sign up. Since I was limited on time, I went to the gift shop to buy a t-shirt and they were all sold out in my size. (I will return again for x-mas presents). The staff was pretty friendly and helpful (they looked through some shirts and even opened boxes to see if they had my size, but no luck. I ended buying a cap). It was a nice facility and clean, modern bathrooms. They also had a nice menu for Thanksgiving. The dining area had a huge screen t.v. showing the game. All in all I was quite impressed. Although I did not get to play since all the seats were full...I'm sure this is due to the newness. In the end it doesn't matter much to me since I was never really a gambler. But I will return when things settle. P.S. since I did not play the slots, table games, and since they do not have a hotel or I did not eat there I would have preferred to choose n/a but since I can't I am basing this on what I saw rather than experienced in these areas. Slots: Full and many winners. Table games: many players. Amenities or Hotel: many stalls that were modern, nice and clean. Free drinks, but no hotel yet. Food: Nice menu, but still waiting for liquor license, no one was drinking that I saw. Perhaps I will do an update later when I have had a chance to experience all. ]]> Thu, 04 Dec 2008 23:58:39 +0000
