The borgata is not only the best casino in AC, it is the best casino on the east coast. The food was wonderful. Tha gambling was reasonable. and the players club was very loose with comps.

Have been going there since it opened, but I won't be going there again to play cards. In a nutshell, there was a misdeal that could have been easily handled, but it wasn't. Instead, one pit boss turned his back on the table and walked away without explanation of any kind to the players. Next, a female pit boss came over and immediately said, "You are just pissed off, because you lost." The way it was said, was completely nasty. All we were looking for was a reasonable explanation of why they did what they did to complete the hands. We were not given any option to bury the hand, nor were we given an explantation of the house policy(ies). I have never been treated this way at any casino. The money lost was only the table minimum, so it wasn't like we had any major bets on the table, so it was not about losing at all. It was about horrific customer service. Play at another casino. these people do not deserve your patronage.

They are well known for their poker and it's certainly worth going if that's your thing. However, if you consider yourself a low roller or someone that simply enjoys playing mid-range bets, you are not going to find yourself at black card status anytime soon. They cater to higher end clientele and if you're not ready to ante up some bucks, you aren't going to get very far in status. Overall, Borgata has a nice restaurant selection, the environment is pleasant and there are a ton of slot machines. The only question is who is second best in A.C. Borg has the nicest hotel, best casino, good full pay video poker even at a quarter level and one of the best poker rooms in the country. Yeah .Granted I am that strange bird that actually still likes AC. Casinos on the water works for me & "Boar Gahta" really is the creme de la creme there. And the Water Club Tower is really a knockout. The pool is view is amazing. One little "Boar Gahta" quip was them closing the buffet between breakfast and lunch, and I wasn't even trying to sneak in lunch on the breakfast charge either! Honest! I just wanted to eat. But the selection of food here is great too. I wish there was an easier way to fly into AC. Who wants to fly to Atlanta to get to Jersey from NC? I always go thru Philly because of Southwest. And catching a shuttle is no biggie if you don't want a car. My buddy from "New Yawk Sit tay" joins me there and he comes down on a bus which is great. It's like $30 with $20 back and they drop you off right at one of the Boardwalk casinos. Shuttles and jitneys go everywhere. Philly cheesesteaks, beautiful young girls summer jobbing from Russia, Okay it's not Vegas, there can be tons of retirees and they are being hit hard by the PA casinos and recession, but I think this town is cool. The players club is very generous with their free rooms and the rooms are gorgeous. The game selection on the casino floor is excellent and they have a fantastic poker room. Be aware that some of the non-Borgata owned eateries only give you half-value on your points!! The restaurant choices are excellent and entertainment choices are good.
