A huge, themed casino with no character, just fancy shmancy buildings and menus. For the price, everything is overrated. If you like this kind of thing then this place and casinos like Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, New York, New York, Luxor, etc., are for you. They're just not for me. The public areas are beautiful. Be sure to check out the hotel lobby and the ceiling. Unreal! There is so much to see and do here and could easily spend a good chunk of your day here. I like how this place is connected with the Palazzo as well. I have gone to see both the Blue Man Group and Phantom. I highly suggest both as they are entertaining in their own way. Ate at Valentino's - above my normal cheap budget, but really tasty and high quality food. I would go again, if I had a coupon. There are lots of coupons around for Madame Tussauds and is worth a trip there. The table limits are too high for me, but the poker room is nice. Tight and good players, but fun. I found drink service to be excellent here, especially if you are playing poker. This is probably the classiest hotel on the strip and the player's club is absolutely fantastic. We are not high rollers, but we constanly get 4 free nights each year. Last year, they even comped us an additional night just for charging our breakfasts and dinners to our room. The video poker bars are also a great bonus because they give you top shelf drinks for free with only $20 in the poker machine. We love the shops, the canals, the restaurants, and especially the magnificent suits at The Venetian or Palazzo. If you're looking for a "cheap Vegas deal" this probably isn't the place for you (though we get email and snail mail offers for reduced room rates all the time after signing up for their player's club): they're aiming for the same crowd as Wynn and Bellagio. And they do it well. Unlike other posters here our customer service experiences have been exceptional: we're not "high rollers" by any stretch but the staff has been almost uniformally friendly and helpful. The rooms are huge, well-maintained, comfortable. There is a good selection of slots (though the number of them were reduced somewhat a couple years ago when they used some slot space to build their poker room) of all denominations (even nickels: look around the staircase beneath the streetside Canal Shoppes entrance). Table minimums have dropped to the $10 level most the time.
