If you are looking for a cheap mid strip stay then check it out. They have the lowest rates you are going to find in the area when you consider they are surrounded by Harrah's, Caesar's Palace, Flamingo, Mirage and T.I. Food isn't the greatest unless you need a late night burger and the Burger Palace to sober up. Casino atmosphere is ok but again not great. If you're into cars, the Auto Collections is a great low cost way to spend a few hours. I make a point to every trip and if you get online before hand you can print out free tickets to get in. The location is about the only other thing that saves IP, it's nestled right in the middle of the strip so you can easily access both ends of the strip by foot or go out back and hit the Monorail.

I never stayed there but I did gamble there and I have to say that the Imperial Palace hotel rooms compare to the casino and buffet of the old Boardwalk Casino, pretty pathetic. Slots: The casino itself is not all that bad, kind of has a cozy intimate feel to it. Slot machines are ok. Like I always say, the more Video Poker and Blackjack machines the better. Table Games: Love the Dealertainers. I think it's a great idea, but think the minimums should be kept at $5 for most table games, except for obviously when it's real busy on the weekends. Would like to see $3 blackjack here if it's not here already. Customer Service: Check in agents didn't seem like they wanted to be there, bad impression (this was about 2 years ago). Player's Club: I like the special discounts I get at the Harrahs properties with my card even if I just gamble under $400 a trip. It is much appreciated and I hope they keep up the great discounts. Sometimes you can get a room at IP for $20 a night even though you can't pay me to stay there anymore. Gaming Atmosphere: Ok, not great, not real bad, just ok. Amenities or Hotel: The hotel is B-A-D. Really bad. The elevators took forever and are real rickety and the city of LV should actually check those things out. I actually feared for my safety staying at that hotel seriously. No security, this hotel has to get remodeled in a bad way. It's also very hard to find your room with the crazy escalator setup that they have... Food & Drink: Wow, the buffet here was something to behold and I don't mean that in a good way. About the only good thing about the buffet was some of the entertainers from one of the shows or it could've been some of the dealertainers were eating there and it was fun seeing them, but the food was not good and it was cold...

Check in was quick and easy on a Saturday night. Room 1805 was clean and comfortable with king bed, TV and coffeemaker. Nothing fancy but just fine with me. The location, center strip, is great. The casino has plenty of slots from penny to $5. Most table games had $5 minimums, and the dealertainers put on a show. IP has plenty of places to eat like Hash House, Burger Palace, Bettys, Quesadillas, a buffet, a steakhouse and a pizza parlor. I enjoyed my stay at IP, and would definitely stay here again.

It's EXTREMELY loud and smoky, it's a long walk to your room, and the rooms remind me of a 70s Holiday Inn. Nothing special. It was just so crowded with kids and so loud, we won't stay there again. It has one redeeming quality. Location. That's it. It's mid-strip next to Harrah's and near all the action. 'Nuff said.

Yes.
Would I Sleep There? Probably Not.
Would I dine and gamble there? Yes.

Imperial Palace has low limits, and some decent dining options. My wife and I have dined at The Pizza Palace (nice little find) and Hash House A Go Go. Both are different, yet good choices in this Caesar's property.

Be sure to check out the cool karaoke bar here as well.

Really, it's old, but not a place to completely stay out of.

Loose live poker games going on here. Easy to make a buck if you play smart.

The dealertainers here are really good. It's a great place to sit near that gaming pit and watch while you play on a nearby slot machine.

Never stayed here, but will be in March on a comp with my Total Rewards.

Upstairs on the 3rd floor (I believe) called Quesadilla's that is awesome. One is big enough for two to share. There are usually people out on the Strip handing out coupons for buckets of Corona for $5...

I stopped in at the IMPERIAL Palace. I was not impressed and could not see
myself staying there. However, we did eat at the House Hash A-Go-GO, which my husband liked. I thought it was over
rated. I played a few slots, however, they really need to update. My husband enjoyed the car show.

The blackjack pays the lowly 6-5 and should be avoided at all costs. The dealers are horribly slow. I've never stayed here just because you hear the people grumbling near the elevators. It's also the only buffet on Buffet of Buffets that I've never been to because I would never stay here long enough to eat. This is one creepy place.
