The buffet for breakfast is pretty good particularly given the current pricing ($4.99) and the LVA 2/1 coupon. We went buffetless on our current (in process) trip, but we did have lunch at Oyster Bar. My wife ordered a bowl of the Manhattan clam chowder which was pretty good. I settled on the red bean and rice which included a large portion of andouille sausage. It was on a Wednesday afternoon, so as a senior, I was able to pay he bill using only 1/2 points.

I've also fell in love with this member of the Station Casinos family. I first went to Sunset in 2005 and was amazed at all this place offers. It has the basics of course: table games, slots, a good buffet. But what sets Sunset apart is all the extras that it has.

In 2010, traveling to Henderson with my wife and staying at Sunset is when I was able to experience all the bells and whistles of Sunset Station. They have Bingo, a bowling alley, a move theatre, a great food court complete with a FatBurger (Yum!), and all around good customer service.

The rooms are nice and clean, and if you're staying there and don't feel like eating in the casino, there's a In-and-Out Burger sitting out front on Sunset Blvd. That's always a good thing for us folks in the east who only get to enjoy In-And-Out when we're out west.

Sunset is a nice stay/visit if you want to stay off the strip, or have family in the area.

I stayed here in Feb 2008. The casino is large & has a nice selection of slot machines. The drink service was excellent & the waitresses very pleasant.

Check-in was VERY slow. Room was clean & very basic (had plasic cups & no hair conditioner). Taxi from Airport was $35.

Nice locals casino, but I would not stay here again. Slots were no looser than the Las Vegas strip. Review required a rating for table games & poker room, but I did not try these.
