Back then, it was fun to go to Harrah's. They had a cabaret with excellent down and out bands (those who were big but them dropped out of the limelight) and an excellent Headliners Room for the big names. We had 4 keno games and when we visited Lake Tahoe last year, we were disappointed to find all keno games were removed, the cabaret was a makeshift lounge that offered a locals type quality of bands. The atmosphere was depressing. The town of Lake Tahoe is a total dump. It has become too commerial and has lost it's getaway atmosphere. Gary Loveman, the former CEO, turned Harrah's into grind shops. The first Harrah's in Reno was the class of Reno but was so neglected, it closed and was sold to a real estate development company.

The same players card is good at the Harrah's in Reno. We once drove from San Jose, CA to see Englebert Humperdink perform at dinner/show here. I will always remember that I made enough at the blackjack tables to pay for the dinner and show and the stay at a motel.

Why have you taken all the fun out of gambling? Everyone I have talked to from work and all over doesn’t want to gamble any more. No more bells ringing, no more money coming out of the machine. Cut backs which I think will hurt you more then the way it use to be. It's more exciting seeing the money coming out of the machines, it makes you want to gamble.

I don't gamble much but I love to watch other people. It's not even fun any more. I would spend 40.00 dollars to gamble. Can you imagine the people that like to gamble don’t want to any more. I have loved this since I was 21, I am 55 now and because of stupid cut backs I know for a fact you will lose more. Sorry to see you go down hill instead of keeping up the standards and fun. You have taken it all away. Everyone you can imagine I have talked to hates the way the system has gone down hill. No matter what you say I know no one wants to gamble any more.
