The family-owned casino offers a place to eat, drink, sing, stay, and play within walking distance of the Las Vegas Strip. Just a block off the Las Vegas strip, Ellis Island Casino is your destination for high stakes energy and old school Las Vegas charm. Experience the thrill of state of the art gaming machines, settle in for classic progressive slots, or try your luck at a table game with the friendliest dealers in town. They offer a great time under one roof from late night steaks, hot slots, and cold brews. With old Vegas charm and off-strip value, Ellis Island has become a mainstay favorite for Las Vegas locals and visiting guests alike. Craving everything? Get it all at Ellis Island! Go in on a rack of ribs at their Best of Las Vegas Gold-winning BBQ restaurant; try the best pie in Vegas and grab a slice at Metro Pizza; check prime rib off the list at Village Pub and Café; get a brew with a view in The Front Yard; and coming soon—a new eating establishment for artisan sandwiches and favorites at Café Via Focaccia! By far the biggest draw is their $7.99 top sirloin special. It's been a #1 offer for many years. Enjoy a 10 oz. top sirloin steak served with your choice of potato or rice, garlic green beans, and homemade soup or salad. Redeem this offer with your “Play $5, Get $2” coupon, available on the kiosk when you play $5 with your Passport Players Club card. So basically the special is $12.99 as you need to gamble $5.00 to get the special price. The newest addition to Ellis Island is the Front Yard, a two-story indoor/outdoor venue featuring an 18 ft. big screen TV and a second-floor atrium with views of the Las Vegas Strip, perfect for breezy garden dining or game day tailgating. Enjoy a dynamic menu full of Ellis family favorite recipes such as house-cured bacon and brisket, and new favorites incorporating craft beers from its own Ellis Island Brewery. The Front Yard invites casual craft drinkers and seasoned hopheads to sample rotating brews fresh from the tap. Play where the locals play and take a spin on some of the loosest slot machines in all of Las Vegas! Live blackjack, roulette, craps and sports book wagering are available seven days a week. At Ellis Island, you’ll find over 250 of the hottest machines with a variety of games including reel slots, video poker, and keno. ‍$5 Blackjack available 24/7 Blackjack table limits: $500 ($100 on our $5 table) $5 Roulette available 24/7 Craps tables open 11am-3am Monday-Thursday If you're looking for low priced food and gambling, then a trip to Ellis Island should be in your future. Casino: -Many slots and classic table games are found. It gets very crowded in the Weekend! A couple jackpots have been won at Ellis Island! -Best Karaoke in town! Lots of people and fun every night and weekend makes this place a little Vegas paradise from the 70s!! -It's a small Casino, which means you get better service there than any other huge Strip Casinos...you want a drink, you'll get one for sure! -**NOTE: Ellis Island has it's own beer!!!! -The 2 restaurants have the best BBQ chicken and ribs! Prices are extremely cheap, but the quality is very acceptable. Drinks are also very cheap...you won't brake the bank, but you'll get out wasted for sure! -Ellis Island has a great atmosphere, mainly from the famous Karaoke (celebs are found there regularly) lounge and singing Elvis (the one from Imperial Palace). HOTEL: It used to be a Motel 8. Then it was bought by Ellis Island. Fully renovated rooms and suites. Nothing fancy, just classic rooms with windows you can actually open!!!! WOW!!! and ground patio doors for the suites. A pool-small and quite. Nothing like the GO pool at the Flamingo. Pool is...ok. No Pool party. It's like a Vegas pool from the 70s. -The check in desk is very small. But you get checked in way faster than on the strip. -The rooms are clean! Haters will always hate! Beware of bad reviews! -Speaking of the strip... The Hotel is located 3 blocks from Las Vegas BLVD. I said 3 blockes, not 30 miles! You'll have to walk or take a cab. If you can hardly walk 10-15mins under the striking desert heat...maybe you should consider another hotel or a cab. There is a short cut through the Flamingo...but if you are not used to the area you may find it hard to get on the strip. We love the vegas heat...don't have a problem with it! THE FINAL WORD: I've stayed at the FLAMINGO, BELLAGIO, HARRAH'S, TREASURE ISLAND, MIRAGE. Because of the constant rise of hotel rooms, we ended up at Ellis Island, ignoring reviews. I will never ever go back to a strip Hotel ever again! I love to drink and eat good food! Ellis Island doesn't brake my bank-compared to Strip Hotels. Most tourists just book a room on the strip because they don't like to walk much and are easily scared by locals and homeless if they have to walk off strip. Insecurity is part of a tourist!(lol). They waste a lot of money for resort fees, food and drink. If you are used to Vegas, give Ellis Island a try...I did not regret it and I've stayed at the most expensive Hotels on the strip!

<![CDATA[Ellis Island Hotel Casino & Brewery: Locals Casino Flavor Close To The Strip]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/nevada/ellis-island-casino.html/discussions/2508112 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/nevada/ellis-island-casino.html/discussions/2508112 Just down Flamingo from the Strip Right on Koval and it's about a hundred yards down on the left, between Harmon and Flamingo. You can also go up Harmon from the Hard Rock and turn right. Cement floors and the smell of dingy cigarettes permeate the air, and a whiff of searing steak from the 24 hour restaurant that serves the best cheap steak deal in town. The beer is brewed on site by a real German imported brew master, and a pint can be had for around a buck and a half, That's about 20 oz not 12, plus tip. Or, park your rear end at the bar and with a $20 buy in the drinks are comped. Video Poker is 8/5 Jacks or Better and the other games are about the same payoff, a sprinkling of good Video Poker throughout the casino with the usual slots and table games, decent rules and low minimums keep me coming back, as well as the daily restaurant specials, priced low enough to keep you fed while you gamble away those hard earned dollars. Many times I've made that late night trip to satisfy those munchies with a graveyard special. Yes, they still have those. Then it's back to the Wheel Of Misfortune with my gambleholic wife (only when she's buzzed in Las Vegas at 3 AM) and it's one more time, just one more, just one more......... See ya there! ]]> Thu, 16 Jun 2016 23:18:06 +0000 <![CDATA[Ellis Island Hotel Casino & Brewery: Fun little casino]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/nevada/ellis-island-casino.html/discussions/2507111 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/nevada/ellis-island-casino.html/discussions/2507111 Love the micro brewed beers here. They were some great food specials also. They have lowered some paytables on their video poker. They also disallow bonus points on their better machines. They have recently bought the super 8 motel adjacent to the casino. ]]> Thu, 11 Sep 2014 15:31:39 +0000 <![CDATA[Ellis Island Hotel Casino & Brewery: Ellis Island]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/nevada/ellis-island-casino.html/discussions/2506874 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/nevada/ellis-island-casino.html/discussions/2506874 This is a small fun casino. The smallest size is just $51 with the coupon for two weekday nights. The larger ones are a few dollars more. Solo the smallest is fine with me. I find the advantage of these rooms over the Pavillion or Vintage is worth the price. They are much quieter. Vintage is almost on the casino floor and has thin walls so any television can be heard through the walls. Pavillion has a wrap around terrace outside the room and the sound of the cleaning carts is like a small train running by. The Cabana is joyously colorful and everything is a bit upscale plush. There is better room for a computer and there is a refrigerator in the counter space. The television stations include quite a few with just music. I prefer these over the others and feel they are worth another few dollars a night. Another overlooked pleasure is to play poker with Jackie Gaughan, a living Vegas legend. He is pretty old and a bit senile, but you can find him at the inexpensive poker games every afternoon. He plays very lose and so he adds to the pots when he plays. Also, right near the elevator going to the parking garage are three coin droppers that are some of the oldest working slots in Vegas. They really are slot machines because the display has to do with pins that drop into slots rather than a random number generator. They do have electricity to do the spinning, but not to determine the outcome. Playing them is a treat. ]]> Fri, 16 Aug 2013 15:49:35 +0000 <![CDATA[Ellis Island Hotel Casino & Brewery: An unexpected all around best!]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/nevada/ellis-island-casino.html/discussions/2506537 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/nevada/ellis-island-casino.html/discussions/2506537 Best surprise in Las Vegas!
