Just stayed here one night last week. The rooms are ok but nothing great. Bed is comfortable. Room is small. No safe, refrigerator or microwave.
Wife and I play blackjack and video poker. There were two doubledeck blackjack tables with $10 and $15 limits. Can get lower limit with 6-deck shoe. $3 blackjack with continuous shuffle machine. We were there on a thursday evening and there was a good band in the casino. Not too loud and they played blues, and oldies rock.
Dealers are generally friendly. the management changed a few months ago. Many of the dealers were new.
The video poker odds are not great.
Drink service is good at the tables. Not as good at the slots. There are still some coin slot machines.
The buffet is average. good selection, but ok quality.
The buffet and hotel rooms have the best view. You can see the Mississippi river and the Tunica river park. Makes for some nice sunsets. We spent Friday morning taking a nice walk through the Tunica river park that adjoins the hotel.
the pool and fitness room are good.
The player's club, hotel clerks and maids are cordial, but not the type of service that you remember.
Have stayed at the Fitz many times while attending the Antique Tractor Pull there the first weekend in December every year. Their Players Club is very generous and every year, after staying there the last year, we receive free room coupons in the mail. Don't have to gamble a huge amount to get the coupons, though the slot machines are average in payout. The buffet is very good and we especially enjoy the crab legs. It's on the Mississippi River and just a short drive from Memphis.
I Visited Fitz's casino on my R&M bus tour. They took us there for breakfast about 8:00 A.M. and we left about noon. The
breakfast buffet was very good and a good selection. We were there on Nov 14th. I had a good time playing the slots there &
won a few dollars, as I did in July. I had a problem with a machine with my voucher getting stuck, they came fairly quickly
and were very nice.
I signed up for the players club and wrote the manager a letter concerning the lack of professionalism that the employee who signed me up exhibited. Not only did she not address me personally one time while issuing my card, she talked to another employee and took a personal phone call. I knew where she planned to go to eat that night when I left. And then when I got up stairs, I saw that new players club members were supposed to get a reward that day for signing up. I did go get my free gift but it was not originally offered. I never received a response from the casino to my letter. Guess they must train their employees to ignore new guests. I did play and the slots paid well. I managed to leave well in the plus and had planned to return until the floods canceled the trip.
Slots seemed looser than the other slots in Tunica. We were able to play awhile and sometimes win money. They have 5 cent, 10 cent & 25 cent video poker which you were able to play for awhile.
