I stayed at Motor City's casino hotel Wednesday the 21st and parked in the parking lot. About 9:00pm I came back to grab something then about 1:30 to find a security guard near a chevy suburban that i parked next to and I asked the guard what was going on. I said that i parked my truck here and it was gone. He told me to go look around and see if i could find it. I saw Moreseen oil rags on the ground that were in my truck so i told him that and he said to give him about 15 min. So after 25min he took me up to the security office to fill out a report. Then they told me parking here was like parking at cvs"s parking lot so after an hour goes by i asked them if they called the police to make a report. They told me that wasn't their job.

I figured that out when they found the truck next to mine was broken into that they would of looked on their high tech cameras and seen they went from his truck to stealing my truck and when i told them that they never anseered. When i wrote to them Thank you for contacting Motor City Casino Hotel! Our parking structure is very secure and is monitored 24 hours a day by our Security department. IF you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call us directly and when i did they told me nothing again

Customer service couldn't have been nicer! We came from the City of Dearborn and had an Employees Party at Motor City and Everyone said it was the Best employee party by we've ever had! I lost at Baccarat but my girl friend hit Royal Flush at Video Poker and won over 400 dollars! We all loved the Radio bar because they played a bunch of Motown oldies and the dealers were friendly and smart! We had a Great time and will be going again soon. Thanks Motor City! You Rock!

Motor City Casino has come a long way since opening in late 1999 in the refurbished Wagner Baking Company building (former home of the Wonder Bread bakery). The property has undergone a major expansion to its gaming area (opened June 2007), a complete remodel of the existing areas (completed late 2008) and the opening of their hotel (November 2007).

They have also added an entertainment venue (Sound Board) and completely reworked their food offerings, including a new buffet area (Assembly Line), a new casual dining restaurant (Flames), and moving their 4-diamond restaurant, Iridescence, to the top of the hotel tower.

I had eaten at the old Iridescence location, the food was wonderful, but the restaurant space iteself was somewhat lacking in ambiance. The new location, with its glass wall facing south, offers wonderful views of the Detroit skyline, the Detroit River, Ambassador Bridge, and Windsor, Canada; and the food is still great!

The hotel is top notch, with many hi-tech features in each room (wireless handset phones that work throuhout the property, radios with iPod docks, and an electronic maid service/do not disturb light, to name a few).

The gaming area spreads over two floors, and has a "funky" automotive theme. All the usual table games and slots are offered, and there is a very nice poker room on the first floor. Being primarily a video poker player myself, there is not an abundance of machines with good pay tables, but there are a few if you take the time to look around.

In all, Motor City has done a very good job of improving their offerings to keep competitive with the other casino properties in the Detroit area.

Motor City is by far the worst casino in Detroit. It's in a pretty bad area with a pretty stupid set up for a parking garage. The casino feels pretty cramped and not very open. Players Card is not very good. Food pricing is very high. Not a very big selection of penny slots. A lot of two cent and nickel machines, but they are all tight like the rest of the Detroit casinos. Greektown and MGM both look and feel nicer. Employees here aren't very nice either like the rest of the Detroit casinos. It's not far from 75, but it's the furthest away from 75 when compared to MGM and Greektown which are both literally right off the exit ramp.
