This is one of the best buffets in the Detroit Windsor area. The only problem is having to cut through the smoke- horrible. You are in line breathing in so much smoke and you have to sit in the back of the non smoking buffet to get away from it. Too bad MI casinos do not care about their customers or workers. WORST SMOKING of any casino. Why doesn't MI get their act together and go smoke free like all of Canada did? The pay out is great but again, I go to Windsor which doesn't really have great food or machines just to avoid the smoke.
I visited MGM casino tonight and left because of the lack of courtesy displayed to its patrons. To make things worse the manager, Paul, greatly failed in resolving the issue. According to Paul, MGM allows people leave a slot seat and walk around for up to approximately 10-20 minutes. All along as someone "HOLDS" their seat. I was also advised by Paul that at MGM it is Ok for persons to play several slots at once. Paul also stated that is just the way it is because his casino makes 3x what Las Vegas MGM makes so he is not going to rock the boat. I would recommend visiting one of the of the other great Detroit casinos if you plan to play any slots. You will also not have to deal with incompetent management.
Slots are tight, People are rude, Service isn't great, Food isn't great and to many people playing 2 slots at a time. Wouldn't recommend going. Not fun and your in and out quick because most aren't winning and don't get any to play.

TO BE FOUND. THE CHINESE FOOD SECTION COVERS 1/2 THE BUFFET SERVING AREA. 80% OF REGULAR/VIDEO SLOTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED IN THE LAST YEAR. THIS MGM MUST BE THE TRAINING GROUND FOR NEW SLOTS. SO IF YOU LIKE NEW SLOTS, THIS IS FOR YOU.
HAVE NEVER STAYED HERE SINCE I LIVE 20 MILES AWAY. IT'S A GIGANTIC CASINO, DETROIT'S LARGEST AND MAYBE 4-5 YEARS OLD. ROOM RATES
AROUND $299--AT LEAST IT AIN'T $300. PAY FOR DRINKS.
I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO GO TTO MGM CASINO,THEY ARE RUDE,DISRESPECTFUL, MONEY HUNGRY, TASTELESS, CHEATING,HORRIBLE,DISPECABLE, RACIST,AND THE WORST CASINO IN THE WORLD. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SUCH THING AS LUCK THERE.THEY GIVE MGM IN VEGAS A BAD REPUTATION!
