Been here a few times, Really like the food and atmosphere , Friendly people and helpful, Great slot play and beautiful casino and more important SMOKE-FREE! Really enjoy my time when i go there!
This casino is in Ontario, which means smoking isn't legally permitted. That is a plus. This casino is in Ontario, which means comped alcoholic drinks aren't legally permitted. However, they then charge over $5 for a beer, the same beer which a bar down the street advertises for $2. And the service to get that $5 is lacking.
Since it is Canada, they use Canadian currency. The same machines that will cash your slot tickets will exchange US currency into Canadian currency. They also have one machine upstairs that will cash your ticket into US currency. However, while not bad, aren't the best. So if you exchange $100 US, play with the Canadian currency and come out exactly even, and then exchange it back into US money, you will be out a couple of dollars. They also exchange cash at the cage.
They use the same Total Rewards system that other CET casinos use. The slots are the same. And the tables don't seem to be okay. There is a toll to get here from Detroit in addition to another toll to get back to Detroit. Not sure if it is worth the cost.
If you don't mind paying the $4 one way toll, then Casino Windsor may
be a better choice than the Detroit 3. Better VP pay schedules, although
less machines than MGM Detroit's LARGE selection. I've eaten at the buffet,
typical choices, delicious, not super fancy. The dessert bar is large & very
good. Starting April, 2013 you can now use TR points for "free play" on
machines & tables. Big shooters can probably get their toll money reimbursed
for the bridge or tunnel crossing.

I found this place to be pretty nice. It's not fancy and they were pretty crowded when we played there but the staff was friendly and the place was clean. We didn't eat but I did play poker and their poker room was nice. Not particularly fancy but good sized, good lighting, and the dealers and other guests were quite friendly. The cashier converted U.S. dollars to Canadian when handing out chips and converted back when we cashed out which was very nice.
I'd suggest that if you're in the Detroit area, go to MGM Grand but if you need a second choice, drive over or under the river and try Windsor Casino.
Good selection of slots, video poker, table games, this place is very nice. I like visiting here more than any of the Detroit casinos on my side of the water.
The buffet here is very good, and the hotel is VERY nice. Do yourself a favor and book a room with a view of the river. They now have a sportsbook as well, so it gives it that "Vegas feel but not in Vegas" thing going on. I give this place 5 stars overall.
