This casino is unique. How you ask? Where do we even start? I will detail my visits of 10/15 and 10/16. Let's start with 10/15. I entered the "casino" looking for entertainment. Think about this. If you took your kids to see the circus and each act was three minutes, what would you think? We'll, this place is no different. I entered the casino with $120.00. I placed my first $20 in a machine. Betting MINIMUM, it was gone in less than 3 minutes. I timed it on my iPhone. I get that it's gambling but $20.00 gone in 3 minutes?? I found this not to be an exception but the norm. Each machine I touched had the same result again and again. Today (10/16) was a carbon copy of 10/15. I decided to pay close attention to other patrons. No winners! I saw one woman, betting $1 per spin get a combination to go to the "bonus" round. If you have gambled, you know that typically you need three of a specific thing to enter the "bonus" spins. This patron (I witnessed this) got 9 NINE of the required item. 12 free spins, WON NOTHING!! I saw a man who was keeping track of how many "spins" he had without winning anything. 23!!! How does a machine spin that many times without paying even 1 penny? I asked 25 people if they were having any luck...all but 3 were happy. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! Today was senior citizens day! I love our elderly! Great stories and such sweet people! Today, I actually heard over the loudspeaker system (which we will get to momentarily) that these elderly people could get a cookie at the cafe. Really???? what is this place Romper Room! BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! Go on Wednesdays between 10 and 1 and you will have the DISPLEASURE of hearing the WORST voice screaming over the P. A system! She calls out numbers (like a raffle) and gives patrons (ELDERLY) 3 minutes to leave their machines and go to a makeshift table next to the bar. They have to show ID and then are awarded $25.00 in free slot play. REMEMBER two things. ONE- ELDERLY PEOPLE CANT MOVE A FOOT IN THREE MINUTES! Secondly, $25.00 at this place will last less than 4 minutes here. Now before you all attack me with the "it's gambling and you have to expect to lose" montra, I get that! HOWEVER, I am paying for entertainment NOT to be swindled. This casino is HORRIBLE and I have even snuck a video camera in there and recorded how badly the machines pay out. It will be posted on YouTube shortly. I understand and respect this is a business and it is there to make money, if you want to be entertained, go to a movie and drive by this trap. It's not WICKED GOOD FUN. It's a WICKED BIG RIP OFF!

I think your comments are spot on and accurate. I only live about 10 minutes away from the casino, so I usually play Video Poker every night (Jacks or Better variation). Every night I come in with $20 since I mostly play recreationally, and bet $1 per hand. I always notice that weekdays, I always get a good mix of hands being dealt, you know - completely random as it should be. Fridays and Saturdays, every weekend for the past two months, EVERY first hand drawn comes up with the SAME card pattern - two or three high cards with a pair. Hold the pair, draw, nothing. Draw again, same thing, repeat. Now I also have a way of playing as well, I also make sure that I have the cards dealt at random time intervals, and still got dealt 14 bad hands in a row in a 25 minute period. It is mathematically impossible for in Jacks or Better not to get dealt at least a Jacks or Better or at the very least a Two Pair for 14 hands in a row - come on. Talked to another patron that plays Video Poker on a regular basis and noticed the exact same thing and watched him play. It's not superstition, the Video Poker machines are definitely programmed to deal bad cards on any given time.
And yes, I agree with you, it's gambling. However I only consider it gambling if I am playing a fair game, with accurate mathematical odds.
Slots - don't even play them that often, but when I do, I'll lose that same $20 in 2 minutes. Not joking.
Oxford Casino, you have lost a loyal customer, I'll take my entertainment budget somewhere else. When is it "Wicked Good Fun" when every spin or deal is a losing one?

I totally agree!! I have been there at least 20 times,( I feel that is a fair representation of my experiences). I have gone 61 spins without a win!!!!!! They don't even let you have fun....PATHETIC!! The rewards program is even more pathetic, actually insulting! I think I have witnessed 1 jackpot in all my visits...I hope they go under...poor locals don't know any better, I feel bad for them.

I think you need to pay closer attention to what you read. No one is angry about the money lost, hence the "I get its gambling " references. The issue is how FAST your money is gone. There is a big difference. I'm sure you spent more than 1500 to win that tiny jackpot....
