I have been a patron of the Kansas Star Casino for several years due to living only 10 minutes away. I have been to HUNDREDS of different casinos and this one rates somewhere near the very bottom. I don't play slots, but my wife and her friends do. My wife usually starts with 500 dollars to spend on a given Friday or Saturday night. She is usually out of money within an hour or two at the most. She usually bets 1 dollar or less per spin. Her friends that play with her do not win either. My wife's highest payout was $318 dollars on a $1.20 bet. Not very good if you have been going there for years. I normally play table games and must say that most of the dealers are very novice when it comes to calculating your winnings. This is especially common at the craps and roulette table. These dealers aren't even properly trained. Most of the time the pit bosses are trying to train them on the spot, causing delays and more mistakes. I would estimate that I get miss paid about once every 10 payouts. Watch your money! The players club is an absolute joke especially for table game players. You might get a coupon for a free blender or oven mitt in the mail if you are lucky. The food isnt bad, but the buffet is the same day in day out. They serve the same food almost every time Ive been there. The casino appearance is probably the best thing about the Kansas Star, but its not even 10 years old, so, yeah it should probably look nice. The worst thing I have encountered on a few occasions is that the security will remove players if they have been drinking and are on a winning streak! I kid you not I have seen it happen several times! A guy next to me at the roulette or craps table drinking a few beers gets asked to leave after he had just won a few hundred dollars. I witnessed one guy that was up a few thousand dollars get escorted out by security and he didn't appear drunk or disturbing to anyone. However, if you are drunk and losing....don't worry, they will let you donate your money. Absolutely awful! This place should be ashamed.
