I will never return. I like going but they don't let you win enough to even play for a while. I have been there many many times. Never won anything to brag about. Pass it by go to one of Iowa better casino. 

Just grab your money and flush it down the toilet. By shear odds, some might float back up to the surface. Sadly, that's better odds than you'll have at this place. If you are going to Iowa just bypass and drive to Meskwaki in Tama. You may not get rich but at least they have good food, fair payout gambling and great entertainment. Prairie is running itself into the ground. 

Worst slot payouts I have ever experienced in my life. Dropped $1,000 without so much as a tiny pay out. Casinos are entertainment, not highway robbery. I'm wasn't even hoping for a jackpot, how about just a tiny little payout of ANY kind. It was deathly quiet in that place, no jackpot announcements and nobody was winning around me. Customers were practically smacking the machines they were so upset. The owner must be one greedy bastard! Avoid this place like the plague. It would get zero stars if the system would allow it. 

We played blackjack and slots for several hours. In that time, the servers came to our table once. I had to keep getting up to get my own drink. The payouts were horrible. I must have played 20 different machines and not one paid a bonus in about 3 hours of playing them. The tables were overcrowded and rarely did you see face cards on the players side of the table. I'll drive further to Tama when I choose to gamble. 

Payouts at Prairie Meadows have been simply awful in the past year or so. Years ago it was enjoyable to play the slots, no more. Done with this place for a long while.

I've been to over 50 casino's in other states and this has the worst slot payout on the planet. I played twenty different machines and lost horribly everywhere I went in the facility. It wasn't just me either, no one around me was winning a dime all evening. Ultra greedy owners. I would highly recommend you drive a little further to Tama Iowa and try Meskwaki. Their slots ACTUALLY pay out once in a while which makes the gaming experience entertaining. Even if you don't hit it big you at least win enough to make a night of it. I saw people walk into prairie and blow $400 in 15 minutes and were forced to leave empty handed. The Feds should check the machines at that site. Their is no way Prairie is paying out anywhere near what they claim.
