I have gambled several times at this casino and must say I’ve won a lot. I won a jackpot as well. The only compliant I have about the blue chip is the smoking. Wish they were better ventilated! Other than I think Blue Chip is a great casino.

I think it great. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and low table min. They always have a $5 crap table- Even Saturday night and New Years Eve. The other casino in the area are often $10 and $15 tables. I never play slots, but the Craps and Blackjack are nice.

Usually, the unhappy people are the only ones that take the time to rate stuff. Slots pay out fairly well. I've won $5,000 off of my first $10 bet in the high limits, watched several people win 10-18,000 on slots numerous times (usually a lot mor 1-3,000 payouts happen) and just a month ago I spent 5 hours playing slots on the same $20 and left there over $500 ahead with that same $20 in my pocket. Never stayed at the new hotel so no opinion there. As a non-smoker, they could use better ventilation as air quality doesn't seem that great but that would be my only complaint. If you're local, I'd have to say I've won far more and far more frequently at Blue Chip than at Four Winds. Most of the staff are very pleasant which is actually part of the enjoyment in my returning to play there.

You will not win here. Playing 30 dollar slot, getting a 20 game bonus and winning $0 00. B.S. While there I talked to some of the workers, they all basically said no one wins here. All told I have been there 10 times and never won. The entertainment always sounds like a local garage band. Boring .

<![CDATA[Blue Chip Casino & Hotel: Poor slot payouts]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/indiana/blue-chip-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2508129 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/indiana/blue-chip-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2508129
Have been going to Blue Chip few quite a few years. Not a big gambler but in all of those years of playing various machines the most I ever won was $210 on slots.
I then went that same night that I won the $210 to play some craps and when I started winning the table managers were rude and began to complain how I was throwing the dice even though I was the only player at the time!
I have had enough of this place and IMO the percentage of payout is nowhere near 90%, no way!
If you decide to play at blue chip just decide how much you are willing to lose because you will not win, period...
The place is not very well maintained or clean either, just look at how dirty it is when you walk up to the the front doors.
The bathrooms are clean, I will give them that much.
The buffet reminds me of nursing home food...
One more complaint that I have is that the ventilation system is very poor at blue chip.
It costs money to have a high percentage of fresh air incoming to circulated air and they I think that they also cheap out in this area of providing a nice environment for people that are spending very large amounts of money there.
The air quality is very bad and my wife cannot go there any longer because it irritates her lungs very badly.
I understand that many people that go to casinos smoke but they should at least do a better job of providing a better, healthier environment for those that don't.
We have stayed in the hotel and it is nice but IF you can get a room during the summer season you will pay highly inflated prices.

Went thru 2400$ in two hours only winning minimum bet back on slots. Avoid at all costs to gamble. ]]> Sat, 30 Jan 2016 01:46:11 +0000 <![CDATA[Blue Chip Casino & Hotel: Firekeepers/Gun Lake STINK]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/indiana/blue-chip-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2507745 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/indiana/blue-chip-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2507745 To all who are praising Gun Lake (MI.) or Firekeepers (MI.) be advised that Michigan Indian casinos don't have to post payout % Blue Chips machines on the other hand pay out at 90.5 % if Firekeepers or Gun Lake are anything higher than the Michigan required minimum 75% I for one would be surprised. I can't begin to tell how many times $100-$150 has only lasted less than an hour at both of these casinos. I suppose all casinos are set up to take your money but at least I get some playing time for my money at Blue Chip, and that I can chalk up as entertainment. ]]> Fri, 30 Oct 2015 00:47:26 +0000 <![CDATA[Blue Chip Casino & Hotel: Total Indifference]]> https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/indiana/blue-chip-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2506928 https://www.americancasinoguidebook.com/indiana/blue-chip-casino-a-hotel.html/discussions/2506928 We arrived and were assigned to a room -- Solara King -- that was supposed to have a view of Lake Michigan -- we got a view of the parking lot and garage. Our room -- on my usual side of the bed -- did not have a plug for my CPAP. The solution from the staff was to learn to sleep on the other side of the bed or drape an industrial extension cord. I spoke with Jack -- the hotel supervisor -- who displayed zero interest in trying to correct these issues. I suggested a room change to no avail. When I told him that we were considering leaving, he said fine, just drop the key cards off at the front desk. We left and went to St. Louis where we had an absolutely terrific experience at Hotel Lumiere. If you have a choice, then chose anyplace else. ]]> Mon, 07 Apr 2014 16:03:24 +0000 <![CDATA[Blue Chip Casino & Hotel: Great place. The poker room is nice and the tournaments are well run. I get comped two nights a week at the Spa Hotel and it is beautiful. I like that they keep the Craps tables at a $5 minimum even on weekends. Very affordable. Once you get to know the dealers and the floor people they become your friends. ]]> Mon, 06 Jan 2014 17:26:30 +0000
