no vip comps, the place is packed though. they're printing money from all the foreign and out of towners coming in and losing their money. Slots are the worst in the midwest. Customer service doesn't care and gives no comps. Food is very good. But can you justify a $40 buffet after you lose $1000 in an hour and they comp you $5 for a soft drink ? 

This is by far the best of the casinos within 50 mile radius from Chicago. It's modern, clean, and offers a good variety of table games. It's a very happening place on the weekends and the only casino in the area that will not make you feel depressed just by being there. It does get very crowded and wild on weekends but to me that adds to the appeal. Most people don't realize this but it's as big as it can be due to Illinois law (maximum of 1200 positions). Being strictly a Blackjack player this review will mostly cover Blackjack. Table minimums are very high and generally $25 during the week and $50 on the weekends (with some tables at $100 during prime time on Saturdays). There are some $15 tables on Sundays during the day. High limit minimums are usually set at $100. Tables are pretty standard 6 deck, 3:2, H17, DAS, NO RSA so around 0.65% house edge. There are a couple of S17 tables but the minimums are almost always set at $50. Not sure about high limit since I don't play there. No mid shoe entry on most $50 tables. They offer the usual Blackjack sucker bets (21+3 Extreme) and recently added a third, the "Blazing 7s". Lastly, I can't help but laugh at all of the reviews here from people complaining about losing money on slots or in a casino in general....you just can't make this stuff up. If you want a decent chance at winning money at a casino stay away from slot machines. Stick to Blackjack, Craps, and Baccarat. Better yet, stay away from casinos in general !

I have been a frequent visitor of the rivers since it opened. This is definitely the cheapest casino I have ever visited. Besides the impossible payout ratio, the machines are broken, kiosks broken or they close huge section for money drops during busy hours. The are to cheap to pay a night shift. Try to find a vip host or get comps and you are wasting your time. They must require heartless soulless robots to work hear. I wish a local media outlet or the fbi would expose this place. Until that happens they will keep reading in the suckers. If your from out of town do not fall into this trap and spread the word.

This place is a complete waste of your money don't even bother going near it

I have been coming here for 5 years now every week and only won the jackpot 2 times. 9 out of 10 times you will walk out with no money.
