Not impressed ,the best part is the parking,it's a brand new facility but too small. The restaurants are small and the buffet is way too expensive. There is a small number of 25 cent video poker machines and 2 cent slots. My wife and I have gone 3 times (on birthdays) and I haven't had one winning session. Even though it's closer than others, I don't think we'll give up our Indiana favorites.
They are the worst/cheapest casino in the world ever. The vip room is 100 percent a joke totally worthless. Lowest percentage payoff on slots. Google Illinois Gaming Board and click on monthly reports and see they keep the highest amount of percentage against the player. The new general manager is proud they are the cheapest, this is by design he says. Go play at any other casino. They make 36 million a month.
This casino is so close and convenient.....but I don't think I'll be going back. I'm going back to Horseshoe or Potowatomi. I have been three times, and never had a good win. In fact, have lost a sizeable sum each time. These slots are extremely tight. The casino is small and crowded. They do have a nice selection of some of the newest games. But if you can't win even a good pot once in a while....what's the point? My friends have had the same experience. Players club is a dud. Based on what I have spent I would expect some nice comps or discounts. But i get in the mail a $5 slot coupon. Five dollars? Really? How cheap is that? Not even a free buffet or free drink ticket? It's just not worth it. I'll make the longer drive.
VIP at Rivers Casino, stands for: View Idiot Person. When the Casino opened, it was possible to win. 3 years later... you can drop hundreds to thousands of dollars and leave there without a dollar in your wallet.
Depressing place to play, people are disgusted and out-raged by the constant loosing here.
Spoke to GM and his attitude was very poor, when you treat your high rollers poorly, then the average player is definitely not being treated well at all.
Staff people are wonderful but they too remark on the management style, most recently a employee mentioned a new rating system that evaluates their job, one strike and you are OUT. If an employer treats
their employees BAD, then my expectation of being treated well as a V.I.P. is not REALISTIC.
after spending about $500 in this place i found that most of the penny
slots pay out on the low percentage. the reason being when you get a bonus round for example china shores it gives you about 40 spins and most of them are loser spins
Definitely forgo this place on your next trip here to chicago. Stay away from the place it is a tourist, trap all eye candy. You're better off going to indiana or elgin.., casinos.
because they pay out better on the machine percentage.
