This place is the worst ever. Slots are TERRIBLE. They should be inspected by Gaming commission. Not a loose machine in the house. They jack up their table minmums on weekends.
If you want to lose hundreds fast, this is the place to go. On top of terrible gaming, the place is dingy and dirty. You would think that they would spruce up the place to make it look a little more like a casino and a little less like a trash heap. PLUS Illinois smoking ban ensures that you can't even enjoy yourself (if you're a smoker of course).
I am answering to some of the other reviews. My friends & I used to go up to Peoria all the time for an overnite Sunday stay. We
would get a free night and have a lot of fun. THEN, they tightened up their slots and man you couldn't get ahold of anything. I
know it is the only game in town, but come on, give it a break. Some of my friends spend a lot of cash, but they don't like
feeling like they should leave their money at the door. The hotel is very nice, no complaints there. The shuttle runs quite
often and never felt unsafe. The buffet was pretty good.
I live in the Peoria area and have been frequenting the Par-a-dice for the last 15 years or so. I used to win occassionally, but a few months before the smoking ban took effect on 1/1/08, the machines quit paying out even minimal amounts.
I'm sure they were tightened up to prepare for the massive loss of revenue due to the smoking ban. I might as well just throw my money over the side of the boat and get it over with quickly, instead of prolonging my misery!
As a smoker, in a smoke-free environment, not only am I inconvenienced while I'm loosing money, I'm annoyed too!!!
