Long story short: I was given a fake $100 by a cashier here and didn't realize it till after I left and when I went back, security blew me off and told me to just go pass it off somewhere else. If you want the full story, read below:

I was there a few months back playing video poker and I used to play here fairly often and every time I cashed out my tickets at the cashier they would always run my money through a money counting machine before giving it to me.

Well On this particular instance they did not do that and I cashed out for like $400 or something like that (just know that several $100 bills were involved) The cashier handed me my big bills but did not run them through the counting machine and I didn't think anything of it until I got to the bank and went to deposit the money I had just won into the ATM. It kept spitting one of the $100's back and i finally held it up to the light and realized there were no watermarks and it was fake.

So I immediately drove back to the casino to tell them about it. I kept walking around trying to talk to the head of security and kept getting the run around and finally after about 20 minutes someone in a security shirt came up to me and told me that they couldn't do anything because I had already left the premises (understandable) but that it was impossible that I was given a fake bill there because all cashiers run all bills though counting machines before handing them out to patrons and they detect counterfeit bills. When I told him that did not happen when I was paid off and I demanded that they pull the security footage he told me to not worry about it and just go pass the bill off somewhere else.

Gulfstream Casino sent me some freeplay to use. When I went to use it they said I wasn't allowed to use it because I wasn't playing enough. What kind of casino uses this bait & switch tactic? I then asked how much do I have to play to be able to use my freeplay. They said - "go ahead and play and we will evaluate it." Fat chance I am going to trust those cheating bastards. They will probably let me play and then say - "Sorry, but you didn't quite play enough." I will never play in this casino again. They cheat and lie to their customers.
